Review summary

Staff were awesome. Housekeeping, food staff, wait staff, cruise directors, crew, etc. all hard workers. Specialty dining 50/50 shot a good food and overpriced but buffet great. Bar areas and common areas overly congested. The only place to go to get away from the overwhelming sound of people was your room. Who wants to stay in your room? Activity schedules need tweaking. Excursions were not as described and disappointing. More photographers needed to help capture events only came across one photographer. Definitely a party atmosphere not relaxing. If I give the cruise a score it would be 5.5 out of 10.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We booked transport to and from the ship which made it very easy. The lines were minimal and very quick to board the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The buffet area was excellent. We went to La Cucina one night and enjoyed dinner. We also went to Moderno one night and the food was awful. So many people drinking and the wait to get a server or drink from the bar around the ship was long. The drinks were very strong and quite a few people were drunk. The atmosphere on the ship was more like a party boat rather than a cruise.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We played Deal or No Deal which was ok. Bingo which was fun. Shuffleboard only had two areas but fun even after waiting for a turn. The pool area was overcrowded because it was the only pool area. Most people sat around the rim of the pool and drank. This area had a small cubby for smokers and a bar. There were so many people one day that a group fell over and landed on top of a woman who was hurt and had to get medical attention. The pool area was congested. We were limited on activities because of timing of events. Popular events were scheduled at the same time so you need to choose. Seating was also limited.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Burn the Floor was excellent. DJs did a great job. There was a band of three, a vocalist and two on keyboards, which sang and played in various areas of the ship. They were ok.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff are amazing. Always cleaning and catering to the guests. The poor agents at the guest services had to deal with the bar which was adjacent and the main lounge area also adjacent. It made it difficult for guests and staff to communicate over the noise.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The layout of the ship needs to be redesigned in some of the common areas, too many things happening at once. The staff attempted to keep the areas clean throughout the ship but people aren't also as helpful.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was adequate. The bed was too close to the closet only enough room for one person to walk sideways. The room sleeps 4 but really only enough room for 3. The bed was not comfortable (too firm) but the pillows were good. The housekeeping staff were awesome. The balcony area was nice. We are slender in size and I'm not sure people with a larger frame would appreciate the overall accommodations.

Ship tip

Definitely a party boat, not a relaxing atmosphere. Also don't forget any toiletries, VERY little available.
