Review summary

This was only my second cruise on Norwegian and I did sign up for the cruise next package that will give us a discount on future cruises. I would suggest that you research the ship prior to going on this or any cruises.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It went very smoothly but still long lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I always enjoy the specialty restaurants especially teppanyaki as it is a great show but again way too much food in that venue. The French and Italian restaurants were also top-notch. But my cabin mate knew more about the wine than the sommelier!. The highlight of our dining experience was the Manhattan room with great music and a great singer to compliment the meal so we went there two nights in a row!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The atrium venue was extremely crowded for some of the events that took place there If you didn't get there early you would be in big trouble finding a seat.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The burn the floor event in the main showroom was so energetic I don't know how those dancers could last the entire 1 hour that the event took. The comedian in the same venue was also great

Children's Programs

I didn't have any kids with me on the ship

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I joked with the atrium bartender who was my favorite and left a good review for him on the ships forms that they gave us. He always knew what we wanted to drink . Our waitress in the Manhattan room was also fantastic and that's why we went back. Also our room steward was fantastic as well and helped us out with a problem we had flushing the toilet

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
They did a great job keeping the entire ship clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
I realized after looking at the deck plan I should have had a different cabin as it was quite small and the closets also were not large enough.

Ship tip

Always book your specialty dining events in advance prior to getting on the ship as a lot of them were filled

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
We drove over the day of embarkation so no events were planned.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
The only complaint I have about this export and excursion was that it started raining quite hard at the end of the excursion and the buses took us way far away from the place that we got on the excursion and we had to walk in the rain passed all these vendors.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
The excursion to the top of the mountain was fantastic and we had a great driver

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

5 out of 5
Excursions were planned but we did enjoy walking around. Long lines at the food venues but that was to be expected

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The only bad thing about decembercation was finding our luggage they need to space it out more so that it's easier to find them
