Review summary

Great cruise. Very expensive internet prices. Free at sea means you pay before sailing. We paid a lot for a drink package when we mostly drink water

Embarkation

Not sure why this port has individual check in times. Was a colossal mess. We normally choose later times as you generally walk right through. This took 1.5 hours to be called to board. Crowded and disorganized. I know this is a NOLA thing, not NCL

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent food everywhere we ate. From the buffet to MDRs and specialty dining, food did not disappoint.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Slides were a lot of fun. Pool area small. Jacuzzi’s always full unless people were in port. Rock climbing wall and mini golf were removed when this ship dry docked during the pandemic. Fitness center good, but small for this size ship. Jogging track difficult to navigate with everyone wandering in your way.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Burn The Floor and Six were incredible. Some of the best entertainment on a cruise ship. Sad this is where NCL is cutting staff. Bingo and Deal or No Deal more expensive than other cruise lines for the same experience and prizes. Deal or No Deal should be in the theater. Not the atrium.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we saw or who served us were amazing. From our room steward to servers to bar tenders, buffet staff and the washie washie man. All were friendly and kind.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
We enjoyed this ship and it’s amenities. A few more express food options are needed. Have seen more cleaning on other lines. But ship was still clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This cabin was wonderful. Plenty of storage (drawers are under the couch). Great size, very large shower and bathroom for a cruise ship. This room has an angled balcony, which makes it much larger than the other rooms in the same category. The other balconies not angled are so tiny, you couldn’t turn your chair forward. So the angled balcony was the way to go. Our only complaint was the bed was too hard.

Ship tip

If sailing out of NOLA, pack your patience chose an angled balcony if you can

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Went to Tabyana beach. Beautiful and fun. There are a lot of people by the water trying to get you to buy something. Water was cold at this time of year. We brought our own snorkeling gear and swam out to the coral. So many fish to see.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Not a fan of the port itself. But the city itself is so much fun. So much history and things to see. The WWII Museum is not to be missed

Cozumel, Mexico

Our excursion was canceled. So we just walked to the shops in port. Water here is just beautiful. Wonderful port.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Beautiful port. Is a tourist trap. Everything is expensive here. But very beautiful.

Again, another mess. This did start with NCL. Most people end their cruise in the buffet, which is aft. When your tag is called, you go forward to deck 7. They then shuffle you through either side of the casino, to the aft of the ship, through the Bliss lounge, out to deck 7 to go all the way aft. Back in to The Manhattan Room where your key cards are scanned then back out to deck 7 forward to the gangway and into the terminal. More mess in the terminal. Customs very quick. Then another 45 minutes before we were out and waiting for a cab. My boyfriend had thrown his back out on this cruise. So this was very difficult for him. And another elderly gentleman looked and sounded like he was going to die. Very disorganized
