Review summary

Not going back for quite some time. Either they haven't recovered the right staff from the COVID closures or they have simply lost their touch with the hospitality industry.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Terrible! Felt like we were sitting at an overcrowded gate at the airport waiting to hear how long our flight was delayed. So much for all the COVID concerns. Must be vaccinated to board- but let's stick you in a room with 1000 people for a few hours before we let you board. Ridiculous!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was lukewarm on the best days in the main dining rooms. Even the soups. Not the NCL food of my last cruise in 2019.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Bingo, H2O, pool were fine

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Burn the Floor was great!

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Guest Services was a mess. Unfortunately had to engage them right from Day 1 due to missing amenities. Seems like the entire crew was new, and unhappy, with little intention to be of assistance to anyone. Overheard several conversations where passengers were simply told they couldn't be helped. This has never been my experience - been on 7 different cruise lines over the years, including NCL 5 times.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is showing a little wear from time but still kept up well.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Bed is right next to closet and inconvenient when searching for a change of clothes.

Ship tip

Choose another cruise line until they get their act together again. I have never sailed on a ship where the crew rarely smiles.

Ports of call

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nice beach experience though crowded.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
Long walk from ship but had a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant just off the port entrance.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

1 out of 5
They used the secondary port and 70% of the shops were closed. Had to take a taxi to downtown to even experience a little of St. Thomas. Sky ride not really worth the money...

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Loved the immigration clearance onboard!
