Review summary

A bad day on a cruise is better than a good day at work. With that being said, Breakaway leaves a lot to be desired.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The priority pass was awesome for embarkation! Very smooth and boarding was prompt!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Buffets seemed like the same thing over and over. Food was lukewarm and dry most of the time. Specialty dining was superb! Ate at Cagneys and Ocean Blue.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Venue areas were very small. If you wanted to watch a show, you had to arrive at least an hour early. The pool was too small for the size of the ship. Ropes course was fun, closes tho if windy... same with rock climbing. Not open enough if you ask me. The fitness center looked great, did not utilize. Outside jogging track was small, but not too bad.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
For the most part, crew was friendly and helpful. Service desk needs some people skills tho. Room steward Ludwin was really nice and attentive. Missed my towel animals tho 🤷‍♀️

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Layout was good. Ship was mostly clean. The crew works hard to keep it that way

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Check your charges daily! Most of the ppl I traveled with had double charges and charges not used.

Not much to do except shop at stores that are all the same. Excursion recommended.

Very beautiful. Plenty to do right off the port.

Disembarkation

Again, with the priority pass, it was amazing! The best in the 9 cruises I’ve been on!

I was on the same cruise. Yes they had to close the ropes course, slides, and climbing wall a couple of times due to wind and rain -certainly you can't blame them for keeping us safe- but there were plenty of days to do them all you wanted and no lines.... Yes the favorites were always available in the buffet but lots of new dishes every meal. You never had to repeat a meal unless you wanted to. I admit that some of the dishes look similar; Beef Stew looked like Portegese Stew but there is only so many different dishes they can do. Certainly over 100 different dishes. I had mostly warm food there, only a couple times was it cooler than I liked.
