All in all, this cruise was a relaxing, enjoyable experience. We would definitely cruise on the Norweign Breakway again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Due to a disablity we didn't have to wait long to get on the ship
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was mediocre on the buffet, a lot better in the dining rooms. Desserts were not good at either of the four places that we dined. Perhaps a new pastry chef would help.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We did not utilize the pool or hot tub because the areas where they were located were always crowded.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows on this ship were nothing that we were interested in. We went to a couple of activities in the Atrium (pumpkin carving contest and wheel a deal) the hostess was very entertaining.
Children's Programs
We did not travel with children, Retired couple
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward, Dennis was excellent. Met our needs from day one thru our final day. The dining room staff and staff in the Garden Café were also very attentive.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
One of the cleanest ships that we have traveled on. Our cabin as well as all common areas were always clean and tidy.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The bed was very comfortable. Dennis kept our cabin clean and refreshed ice and towels daily.
Ship tip
The Breakaway is a large ship, so if you can't do much walking try to get a cabin closer to the main activiitiy area.
Terrible, Norweign should have chosen another port in Honduras, due to all the construction at Coxen Hole, Roatan. Nothing to see there, so we walked around a little and got back on the ship. We will not select another cruise with that particular port.
Harvest Caye was not a good port to dock. Hardly anything happening there. Need some places to shop. Seems as if the main concern is for those cruisers that enjoy water activities.
One of our favorite ports. This was our sixth visit to Cozumel and each time we find it quite enjoyable. Excellent port to visit, something for everyone.
There should be a better way to disembark than to have almost everyone on the ship going through line after line unitl finally getting off the ship. We have never experienced a disembarkation like this one.
