The overall cruise was good. The room experience put a negative factor to the overall cruise. The various ports of call were really a joy to see and experience. The excursions were well worth the money and were a great way to experience the Mayan ruins, the great barrier reef as well as the animal sanctuary and beaches.

Staff was very good. Customer service desk needs to be more service oriented. Also needs to pick up the phone and not put you on hold for 20 min.

The layout was nice and the ship was clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was horrible. Suppose to be ocean view but only saw the deck floor of the ship. Window had sign stating not to open at night b/c the glare from your room could interfer with the deck navigation. The amount of noise from gangways, mechanical, conveyor belts, etc., when pulling into port (6 am) and leaving port (6 pm) was horrible. The room shook with vibrations for at least 10 mins coming and leaving port. Notified customer svc and waited 30 min to talk to some one. then was told couldn't be . When went to customer svc, was told they would send housekeeping to check it out but by the time they got there all noise was gone. Bathroom broke on last day and had to go to another floor to use bathroom. Was fixed by dinner time. This was horrific experience for a room. I have never experienced anything like this on any cruise ship. I doubt I would take Norwegian again, this experience ruined our trip while on board the ship.
