Review summary

Overall my experience on the cruise was positive and i enjoyed my time. The service was excellent minus the issue at cagneys. I did not mind being on a cruise with a bunch of kids running around but i did not like the fact that rules were never really enforced on the areas where it clearly stated everywhere it was for adults only. i felt that the kids were able to get away with a lot from parents and the cruise staff and i did not like that. also disembarkation was a nightmare and pretty much ruined my day and instead of being sad about leaving the cruise and my vacation i ended up being so mad and ready to get off the ship with how bad disembarkation was.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
ran into no issues while embarking and all went smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining rooms were great! the service was excellent and the food was delicious. we went to 3 specialty restaurants and all three had their own unique tastes and style. The major complaint i have was with our one dining which was at Cagneys. The food was amazing but the service was definitely lacking. I think the staff was overwhelmed with having one staff per numerous tables and orders. i was at the restaurant for over 2 and a half hours and most of that time was spent waiting for our waiter. Not pleased with that experience.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I personally could not do many of the onboard activities because i was recovering from ankle surgery but i did enjoy the options that were available and my husband enjoyed the activities for the both of us.

Entertainment

Sadly i could not experience any of the entertainment. we wanted to see the comedy shows, magic shows, etc but since all of them had to be pre booked or reserved ASAP we didnt get to do any of that in time. we tried to reserve for the comedy the sunday we embarked on the ship but all the shows were already filled to capacity. Had i known we had to reserve for everything i would have tried to do so prior to the cruise

Children's Programs

we have no children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall the service from everyone was spectacular. Our steward was amazing and most of the staff no matter where you went was truly great

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Nothing bad to say about any part of the ship. all the public places were kept clean and tidy

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
cleanliness was amazinig and our steward was top notch! He kept everything cleaned and changed out items that needed to be. the overall comfort and size was great. big enough to accommodate myself and my husband. loved the balcony

Ship tip

try to book your entertainment PRIOR to getting on the cruise if possible and know that there will be a lot of kids of all ages on these cruises because a lot of the cruise is tailored towards them

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
We enjoyed new orleans for a few days after the cruise and had a ton of fun

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
This port was welcoming as soon as you got out of the ship. we did the dolphin swim and ride and it was amazing and incredible. definitely an excursion we would do again. Phenomenal

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
We did the wildlife river tour which was informative as well as fun. we enjoyed this port

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
Another great port! we did the barrier reef snorkel and my husband and i loved it! it wasnt a simple snorkel in a shallow area instead they took you in the middle part of the ocean maybe couple hundred feet from the shore and that is where we snorkeled. we saw amazing coral, fish, etc and i liked that we actually had to swim and not just float like other snorkeling.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
The port was beautiful! the mayan kingdom waterpark was fun and the fact that they had ziplining was a treat

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
I have only been on one other cruise and the disembarkation on that cruise was fast and smooth. On norwegian it was aweful! They called out color tags for when you could leave but instead of calling one color at a time and giving that group time to actually get off they kept calling several tag colors at once and then it was a mess. the line to get off the ship was ridiculous and long. i felt it was very difficult to get off when it didnt need to be.
