The ports for this cruise were very enjoyable and would recommend. The size of the ship and amount of people were a little too much. For the price difference of other cruises, I probably would not go Norweign again for my first choice. I found just as much to offer, fun, and value on other less pricey cruise lines.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
The loading and unloading area was not as smooth as other cruise lines we have used
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The dining rooms were nice, the food good. I was slightly disappointed in the amount of restaurants offered that were extra cost. I expected a cruise line that charges more than others to have less of that.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The extra items for charge, such as bingo, were extremely high in price compared to other ships we have been on that offered the same activities.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows we saw were great shows. The performers were extremely talented.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff did a great job
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship itself is way too big and at times made it hard to get to places without long waits. There was a great emphasis on hand washing and sanitizer use that I did like very much.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our room attendant was wonderful, he did a great job. This was our first experience with an inside cabin. We have used other cruise lines but never did an interior room. The walls were not super insulated because we could hear the kids in the room next to us very clearly.
Ship tip
This ship is huge. The amount of people was mammoth so if you are looking for a more quiet cruise or a cruise where you can find a quiet spot to enjoy yourself, this is not the ship for you. It holds far to many people to be truly enjoyable unless you are a party person and or heavier drinker. Also be careful of jewelry you purchase onboard. I bought 2 pairs of diamond earrings I had to have replace 3 times before we even got off the ship because they broke.
We have used this port many times with other cruise lines. The port itself is great but norweigns on and off process is not as organized as other cruise lines we have experienced. We try and go a day or two early to visit the city, it is well worth the visit!
We need handicap assistance on and off the ship. While the ship staff wa great, the people who were running the lines after getting off the ship left a little to be desired. We actually had a very disturbing confrontation with an employe who was right down rude in her responses and direction. After we told her as such she did become a bit more pleasant but was rude enough it left a bad taste in our mouth for the staff in that area of the building.
