Review summary

Great cruise that we would do again, but maybe not in March (from NY, it was cold most of the trip). Oh, and the whirpool was not a HOT tub. Water was warm, but not hot as expected.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dining, overall, was excellent. The food was good and service was good. We only had an issue one night where the waiter took our order and then never came to the table again.....

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Always something to do or watch.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We watching the comedy/magician show on the last night of our cruise and it was very entertaining.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My daughter LOVED the teen club. My boys were a little slow to warm up to the children's activity center, but eventually, my ptween, loved it too.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Aside from the one waiter who ignored us after taking our initial order at dinner one night, all of the waiters, room stewards, and ship personnel were awesome.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Putu did a great job of taking care of us/the cabin. It was always comfortable and clean.

Ship tip

The drink package designators used on the stateroom cards should be more clearly explained to the staff. We bought the soda/juice package, but JUICE is what was noted on our cards and we were told multiple times that soda wasn't included. It caused a lot of confusion. Also, the iConcierge app did not work most of the time so locating each other by calling/texting was very difficult at time.

Ports of call

New York, New York

Embarkation/Debarkation was here. Near by Central park is beautiful.

Port Canaveral, Florida

We went to the Kennedy Space Center.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Swells were too high for the tender to operate safely. We were able to dock in Nassau and day early and have an overnight instead.

Nassau, Bahamas

Beautiful, crystal clear water. Friendly tour guides. The SEA part of the Sea to See tour was awesome, but I would not do the bus tour again. Locals are adamant about selling their wares, but at least they don't follow you around or chase you down as you walk by.

The hot tubs are definitely not hot.

Same experience for us a year ago. Still a great cruise, but we decided it would be southern ports for spring, fall, and winter cruises, and northern ports for summers only. (We cruise out of Boston in June. 😀)
