THOUGH I HAVEN'T BEEN ON THAT MANY THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST CRUISES I HAVE EVER BEEN ON. THE SHIP WAS IMMACULATE, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, AND THE STAFF WAS INFORMATIVE, ATTENTIVE, COURTEOUS, AND ACCOMMODATING.

THE CABIN WAS A LITTLE SMALLER THAN I EXPECTED. THE BEDS WERE SMALL. BUT ALL IN ALL IT SUFFICED.

Ship tip

SINCE I PREFER TO TRAVEL AFTER HURRICANE SEASON, NEXT TIME I WILL DEPART FROM A SOUTERN PORT TO ENJOY MORE OF THE OUTDOOR AMENITIES. OTHER THAN THAT THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SHIP TO TRAVEL.

NASSAU/PARADISE ISLAND/ATLANTIS WERE REALLY NICE. I VISITED THE AQUARIUM WHICH WAS AMAZING. IT DID INVOLVE A LOT OF WALKING THOUGH.

Have done quite a few cruises, read many reviews, however, the reviews I see about the Breakaway have me on the verge of canceling my reservation. My interpretation from far too many folks is, NCL Breakaway literally nickels and dimes it’s “guests “. From a $17 cover charge to get into a bar, to $99 for a limited number of chairs in a specific location, pre fixed tips regardless of service (unless you fill out forms and spend your vacation time going through an inquisition), what ever happened to tipping for service that goes beyond your expectations? I read that the 4 year old ship is in need of refurbishing a will undergo some in the spring of 2018. I called NCL 3 Times, talked to different people and no one has a clue what is being refurbished. Maybe new glassware and plates, bow to stern new carpet? Maybe shampooing carpets can be done in a 12 day refurb. You reviewers are preparing us to get a refund, lose some of our deposits and going back to RCCL, CELEBRITY, HOLLAND AMERICA, even Carnival. You tell us about grumpy staff who are lonely because they are away from their families and then you tell me to tip for that? Would someone like to take as much time to convince me not to cancel my 15 day cruise on 10/28/2018, as I put into writing my concerns here?

Chloe if u want a better idea check out beyondships2.com under the ship profile u will find menus. Some may be outdated but the specialty dining options don’t change for the most part. That will give you a better idea in if you want to try it. Our favs are Moderno and Cagney’s but next cruise we plan to try teppanyaki also.

Chloe, check out the complimentary and specialty dining options on ncl.com before deciding. In addition to the buffet, there are three dining rooms, an Irish pub and a a noodle bar that are complimentary. So some good options, but personally, I also think the specialty dining package is totally worth it because it's fun to have so many options. Depends on your budget and your thoughts on the options! My husband and I loved Moderno and Teppanyaki especially, and love the flexibility of NCL dining. We've never been on another cruise line mostly because we love the freestyle dining so much. Go to ncl.com, then the breakaway, then dining and it's very clear which are complimentary and which are specialty.

I love Norwegian Breakaway I’ve been on it 6 times and always was my first cruise ship ever and it has completely made cruise on the other breakaway and breakaway plus class ships so much easier and fun and the staff onboard are amazing
