Review summary

I look forward to the Escape. However for newbies like my sister who accompanied me on this trip fantastic. She enjoyed herself extremely. I am a platinum latitude member and I didn't feel that special at all after working so hard to receive platinum. I thank for the wine at dinner at Cagney of which I was told I could only have one appetizers, and entree. It should be unlimited. I didn't even get a note to go to meet with the captain .Guess it means nothing these days. Not even a pin for sailing on the ship. Bring the pins back..it's fun collecting.

I am platinum status latitude client and it took us one hour to get on. Entirely to long...

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was excellent in the dining room and specialty restaurant. Love the buffet salad ..it was always fresh and clean. There was a big problem with room service twice. The servers never got the order right after two attempt. That's not good at all seeing you have to pay $7.95

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The spa is worth every penny. I also enjoyed the casino with Charissa and the jazz and blues club Fat Cats . That should be on every ship.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The Fat Cat was the best. Since I have been on the Breakaway before all of the acts are the same fromBurning the floor to Rock of Ages. All the same, so very boring on that aspect. I guess it's good for someone who has never cruise before and this is their first cruise. But for me who has been on the Breakaway 5 times it's quite boring. Like I said the only thing to do was go to the Jazz Club besides the spa.

Children's Programs

No kids. However they are all over the boat, even in the casino. I thought that was illegal but I guess not. Norwegian needs to take care of their kids on the boat in a separate area. Some of those don't want to be near the children. However I have seen children everywhere except for the spa. Also the security on the boat needs to make sure children don't go in the casino. This is on a lot of the new agent NCL lines. Especially Breakaway and the Gem. I hope that someday soon the organization of NCL will look into controlling children on board

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All were wonderful. Especially Garden Cafe= BamBam and , headchef Leo. And the best Charissia casino

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was very clean...beautiful. .

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Fantastic loved the shower and the size of the room. Balcony was small .six extra spray''s in the shower.

Ship tip

Get to per early and be ready for a wait and long line to get off...Gem is a much smaller and better entertainment .

Ports of call

New York, New York

I love New York

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Great. I got off be myself and had a ball. Golfingx swimming ,watching glass expert make sculptures. Rum cake the Clock Mall, Museum and so much more. Don't bother with a cab anywhere , take a bus or water boat it's cheap. Thanks NcL for the free boat ride.. love it

Disembarkation

Very long. Walked all around the ship and the casino to get off. Terrible. You should improve that aspect..
