Review summary

Not a fun ship nasty bathrooms. To many people pool isn't fun and no seats unless you put a towel on a chair at 7am so if you have to get ur so early you can't rest.

Pool was terrible no where to sit or swim everyone sitting around the pool. The shows were boring. The bathroom stink. The alcohol water down. To many people for that size ship.

Dayana75 I agree with what you're saying. I think sometimes people are upset and quick at the trigger and do post a scathing review instead of chilling out and writing the good details as well as the bad. I honestly comment to the OP because I could personally back up the overflowing bathroom claim. NCL was aware of the issue on my sailing and guest service agents were actually pretty rude about it. I do believe it is because we sailed during Jersey Week and the boat was at max capacity and they were overwhelmed. But like you said, they are in the hospitality industry and could have handled it a little better. Because of that I simply chose to sail another company.

I get your point R2E1GY, I have been on some cruise also with a couple of issues here and there. I would venture to say some if not all the issues were resolved when personal was made aware as well as having received some form of monetary compensation for my displeasure (usually in the form of OBC or cruise voucher towards another cruise). I can also say that even if there were some issues nothing was ever so far awful that it ruined my vacation to the point of going on social media to blast a company without telling the whole truth. He point is that all reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. I tend to think when one is on vacation you make the best of it. As the staff is there to please you. They are not in the service industry bent on making the customer unhappy. Things that should be included in a negative post are things like we're there any efforts made to rectify the situation while onboard once it was brought to their attention? If not than maybe there is a legitimate reason to bash the company. However every effort was made to the best of their capabilities than I guarantee you this is not an issue solely limited on one line. Just the luck of the draw.

Funny, I think that the OP is quite clear why they didn't like the Breakaway and their reasons are legitimate. You see some of their reason in other people's reviews, people who even love the Breakaway.

I understand some reviews are hard to believe and some people do exaggerate. But, I went on the Breakaway with a family member who has previously been on 6 cruises on Breakaway. Our trip wasn't particularly great and even he had said it was unlike any of his previous trips aboard BA. So bottom line, bad trips happen and as a social media community maybe even if you don't believe the review you can just keep scrolling and keep the condescending comments to yourself. Kind of the old adage, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. People are absolutely crude and disrespectful on these boards. I can attest to this review regarding bathrooms. The public bathrooms were on most desk were closed because of back up issues. This was also an issue in my room the week we traveled. So is it so hard to believe that bathrooms may have been malfunctioning on one certain week? No, it's not.

Everyone's idea of a good time or a good cruise ship is different. People expect different things and are disappointed when it is not what they expected. Which is their right to feel this way. I always have a good time on any cruise I've been on but I like other ships and cruise lines better than others. I don't care for Royal Caribbean at all and would choose NCL or Carnival over Royal every time. I take what I want from negative and positive reviews and any cruise on any ship is better than sitting at your desk at work. Just because you had a different experience doesn't mean their feelings about a particular cruise isn't valid.

Listen it's freedom of speech but I never had a bad time on the Breakaway.I have lots of fun the staff and people are great.I just don't see it the way these negative comments are posted.If you go with a great attitude and positivity it's a great time I would rather be cruising than being home doing the normal routine.See you onboard in a few weeks ð

Some of the negative reviews just seem far fetched and unbelievable. We can accept real and detailed reviews. Not "cry baby tail chasing" reviews. There's a difference...

One thing I've learned on these sites is negative reviews are simply not allowed or accepted by other people. Gzany2, I unfortunately had a similarly not so great experience on this ship and my review was torn to shreds. It's a shame people can't accept both the good AND the bad.
