Review summary

This has to be the cleanest cruise ship I've been on. The staff were very professional. Bermuda is gorgeous what a wonderful port to pull into, I like it better than Hamilton. Food was great!! Entertainment was outstanding!!! Definitely get your value on this ship.

No, it doesn't all & only have to do with hoping a good attitude will " make a vacation ", but I have to say I did not experience what you did on The Breakaway. We found the food to be more than good for the price that we paid, and found the ship & accommodations therein to be in line for the cost as well. We also research very extensively to acquire a larger balcony (balcony size is very important to us) and knew before hand that this ship does in fact have rather small balconies. We did view deck plans as well & also knew ahead of time that there are only 2 banks of elevators, but there are 16 in total(I think) and we rarely had to wait for one. Sorry you had such a miserable time

Oh alioop i didnt say i like motel 6/ mcds. But if its all attitude then why spend the extra money for a cruise. A good attitude will make the worst experience the best. Right?

I do. Feel sorry for people who think they dont deserve what they pay for. I have not had the fortune of sailing crystal or seabourn as you have but i have been on the gem and the ncl sun as well as princess. Rccl. Holland. Cunard. Carnival. Celibrity. My attitude is lemonade from lemons but please not rotten lemons. Breakaway needs work and if you think a positive attitude is allyou need you sell yourself short. You do deserve better. Tell yourself. I deserve better. Again again. Or be a sheep

Albeit no NCL ship/experience of, could be compared to those of say Crystal or Seabourn ...but I'd certainly rate The Breakaway better than a Motel 6 ! And I don't know what McDonald's you've eaten in to compare it's food with that of The Breakaway , but I'd like to go there because it sounds amazing & unlike any McDonald's I've ever had , yum ! 🙄

Glad you had a great time!!

Whining and nick picking will get you nowhere. A Positive attitude is what's it all about. I really would like to know what vacation you pay for is "EXACTLY" what you get according to their tv commercial/brochure.

Clferr have you been on any other ship? The balconies are much smaller on the breakaway than most ships. The breakaway only has 2 bank of elevators. Instead of squeazing over 4000 passengers maybe a few less and a better number of elevators. That goes for staffing too. If all you think you deserve is a different food option every night mcdonalds can suit your expectations. A motel 6 can give you basic rooms and go see a movie for average entertainment. That will save you much money and meet your standards. I want what they show on ads. I know i deserve what i pay for. Why dont you

What services and what kind of food do you folks expect on a cruise? They have different choices every nite for dinner and have never had any issues with service. There are at times over 4000 passengers and waiting for elevators will take time. Maybe if people didn't rush to get on before others get off and let the doors close by themselves instead of pushing the button with a few people in, it might go faster. Yes, the balconies tend to be small, but what do you plan on doing other than sitting and watching the sea?

I am glad you had best of times. We hated the breakaway. Mediocre food. Average service at best very good shows however credit where do. Terrible ship design. Too few elevators and cabins and balconies are tiny by ship standards we would never sail breakaway again
