Review summary

They don't keep to the itinerary. They get to the ports late and if you bought shore excursions they want to rush you. Also, they don't go to the ports they are supposed to go to. We never went to Stirrup Cay. The Captain said it was inclement weather. After being on board for 3 days you meet crew staff and we were told that the Norwegian Breakaway rarely stops at the Stirrup Cay Island because it's too many people and the work is too much. They have to use tenders from the ship to transport everyone to the island. It's too much work so they just don't stop. So I believe I paid too much money for a cruise that was not worth it. Also, the Officers especially the Captain are very rude. I've cruised with Norwegian many times and this cruise has made me not want to travel with them anymore. Don't waste your money especially if they are not going to go where they are supposed to go.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Too many people. Couldn't get reservations to specialty dining. Long lines. Sometimes no food and had to wait until more food was brought out.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not that many for such a huge amount of paasengers.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was good but you had to reserve tickets to go to the shows and some shows you had to pay for. Once you pay you should be able to see any show. Also, if you hadn't reserved to see the show you were turned away. It was horrible because many people were unaware about reserving seats for a show.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Guillermo was our cabin housekeeper very nice. Officers very rude. Practically, more than 50 percent of the staff from the Philippines. Everywhere you went all you heard was tagalo.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
For such a big ship they need to make it so that there is space for all those people. Pool was too small and too deep. No one really enjoyed the pool. You saw everyone holding on to the sides. The slides you hurt yourself coming down on them because of the ridges that join the slides together you feel that on your back. So once you go down once you don't do it again.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The service from housekeeping was good. Our room was cleaned everyday and Guillermo was very nice. However the lights kept tripping and I had to call housekeeping everyday to get lights put back on our cabin

Ship tip

Don't do it. Look for another itinerary. This one is not worth the money.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Got there too late. Had to change plans and go to Cocoa Beach. It was okay for what it was. My kids wanted to go to Universal Studios and I had to cancel tickets because we got to port too late.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

1 out of 5
They never stopped there and according to the ship staff they rarely do.

Nassau, Bahamas

We stood 2 days here. We arrived late in the afternoon and left the following day in the eveningredients. We went to Cabbage and Cable Beach. Don't buy excursion tickets. Take a 4 dollar cab and the beaches are free. Be careful with the swindlers outside. They are everywhere

Its a safety thing why you didn't go to GSC. It happens on a cruise ship. I've never heard that NCL hardly ever stops there since we've been there...several times. The too much work to tender is BS. I'm thinking this whole review is BS. The complaints are ridiculous!
