Review summary

The ship itself was lovely, very clean. Our room was in great shape, our cabin steward was sweet.

However, the cruise was way overbooked, the noise level was horrible. There were line ups for everything, from getting breakfast, to getting on the elevator!  The adult areas such as the adult pool and the H2O adult deck were full of kids, and when we complained, they said they were unable to enforce the rules....really??, just tell the kids to leave!! How can it be ok for a 10 year old kid to be in an adult only hot tub on the adult pool deck??

i paid an additional 800.00 for spa services, and they couldn't even supply me with a robe to fit me!  I am not a size 2, but neither am I a size 22.  It was a very uncomfortable feeling.

We were on the Breakaway in when all schools were in session.  I agree with the OP that the ship is outrageously loud.  There is no place quiet to sit.  Even the library is noisy!  It's right next to the Atrium and the noise blasts through the walls.  The two chief complaints we had with this ship was the noise and the poor quality food.

I was on the same cruise, I didn't find the lines bad at all, the elevators can't be avoided as far as having to wait but it wasn't bad!!! Kids are aloud to be near the adult pool, they just aren't allowed to swim in it...i did not see one child in the adult pool and we were there everyday! From what I understood the two hot tubs to the left of the pool stage children were allowed in and to the right they weren't...we had an amazing time, sad that you did not!! And probably shouldn't travel during school Vacation if you don't like children around!!

How on earth can a ship be"overbooked" legislation, and available accommodation just make that statement ridiculous. at capacity might be more accurate. Personally don't like spoilt kids, and have been on The Breakaway and Epic during out if school time and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. If people don't like mega ships I just can't understand why they book them, personally the bigger the better for me, I get far less bored on sea days.

Yes we booked on school break , not knowing this was the break . It was the very same week but last year . What ticked me off is being kicked out of the hot tub and pool area while in it so they could bring kids in to play games . Excuse me but I believe I paid to enjoy the pool and hot tub at my leisure. I will never book on spring break again . It's not that I don't enjoy kids I do , I really enjoy them I have young adults of my own . I just don't care to be put out on my vacation when they have a kids area on the ship 🚢

- can I ask what you paid $800 for? If it was multiple services why did you continue to go back after the first one if you were uncomfortable? - completely agree concerning kids in adult areas..... while I believe NCL has a responsibility, it begins with the parents. I can't wait for NCL to begin deploying life guards at the pools and it becomes a day care because parents will drop the kids off and doing something else expecting life guards to have that responsibility. - HATE the reply you received when you complained..... Hotel Director would've been engaged immediately. - cruises can't be overbooked.... it has a max capacity (due to life boats). Always book a cruise that has a comfortable max number you can deal with. Sounds like Gem or Dawn would be perfect for you (I agree BA is just too big for my taste)

They actually can't "overbook" a cruise; everyone that gets aboard has a room. When kids are out of school there can be more kids and more of the family cabins are full. Booking during school break means lots of children.

Ty for sharing I'm going on the 14th of May I've been hearing a lot about kids in the adult only areas which can be very frustrating considering it's kids friendly every where's else on ship except casino obviously but I seen a few reviews where people had there kids in there to which is totally wrong in my opinion kids don't need to be in an inside area w smoke blowing around, just a question was it at night or day or both for kids in H20?I was told during day its adults & at night kids are welcome as its an area for everyone at night w movies & stuff just curious,as for elevators & food lines I'm going in expecting that due to how many people the ship holds & times of going to eat, sorry to hear about the spa paying extra & not having a robe to fit is a disappointing experience I'm sure are they one size fits all type?cause we all no how that works lol over all seems you had a wonderful time with few minor hiccups glad ship was clean & staff was great as stated before some reviews were not so good in that area can't wait I'm on the countdown!!!
