Review summary

Unfortunately, due to Hurricanes Matthew and Nicole, the cruise did not go to Bermuda. Very disappointing but understandable. It called on two much inferior ports, Port Canaveral and Nassau Bahamas.

What is not understandable was the reaction of NCL. They gave a $200 credit per cabin, for all cabins, no matter the level of cabin. So we, who had a balcony got the same compensation as those in an inside cabin. Very unfair.

No incentives were offered for future cruises, which we found very disappointing. While the ship, the personnel and services in general were satisfactory, the issue of compensation was very badly handled and left a bad taste. I doubt we will cruise again with Norwegian.

You can shere these comments with NCL if you wish.

If anything the people who paid for the interior were planning on spending less time on the boat and in their rooms and more time out and about enjoying life and the ports they should get more.

Just unlucky

I agree that everyone should have received the same compensation if for the same reasons, but think about it if he paid 4 thousand for a balcony and you paid 800 for an interior it's kinda a slap to the face considering he probably planned ahead and probably used his one vacation for the year maybe don't be so judgemental and jump on the bandwagon have your own opinions

I agree with m3lissa.

I agree as well. Everyone deserves the same compensation. If your room isn't having problems then everyone should get the same.

But you got lots of sea days!

I was on that trip. I agree readytosail and wl1962. But an incentive towards next cruise would have been good. We were to have 55 hours in Bermuda and instead got 14 hours in 2 ports.

I agree with everyone

Cheaper in hurricane season for a reason.

Totally agree!!! In your contract it clearly states that they can cancel a port and not privide compensation so you were lucky to get that...lets be thankful for what we do get people and stop whining about what cant be helped!! NCL can't make the hurricane!!! Again dont book during Hurricane season and you wont have to worry about that!!! Be grateful and not snotty and stuck up because you got the same comp as us inferior people!!

I agree, pure greed

I believe the credit was compensation for the missed ports and not for the condition of the rooms so what does it matter if everyone got the same amount. Do you think you are better because you booked a better room so you deserve to have more or others deserve less. Worry about yourself.
