Review summary

The breakaway was a very nice ship. But bc of the size I felt it was too cramped alot of the time. Long lines to get in places etc. Also I thought the staff could have been friendlier. Most were not very personable. Our neighbors were very loud and kept us up a few nights, tho I know that is not Norwegians fault. I felt like our bathroom wasn't cleaned very well every day, I roomed with 2 guys and by the end of the week the toilet was gross. I was annoyed I couldn't do the free fall slide bc I have a number of earrings in my ear, but it was ok to do the other slides. I didn't really understand that. The shows were amazing! Great entertainment! Ship was clean, buffet food was great! Loved Modernos! Loves OSheehans food and availability!

I am totally for safety but be consistent for all slides..... 1) jewelry can't scratch the other slide which is much faster? 2) rubber catching on a rivet or something can rip your hand off in right circumstances.... I saw some drunk people getting in the Free Fall that shouldn't have been allowed.... they had no jewelry on yet had violent falls because they thought it was fun to jump when the bottom fell (the system does a countdown so you know when you're going to fall) All I'm saying is.... safety should be a consistent practice.

The jewelry thing is because of scratching and liability if you get injured. Since rubber can't hurt you or the slide it's OK. Since the slide .goes over the ocean I am glad they take all precautions

Have to agree about the confusing jewelry rule.... I had to take my wedding band off but somehow the bright yellow "Livestrong" rubber bracelet thing was OK.... I will have to say that, as a guy, the complaint that NCL didn't clean up after your gross guy roommates is a little silly..... maybe teach the guys that they aren't in a frat house and clean up after themselves..... you knew they were gross before the cruise so why expect NCL to be their mothers and clean up after them!?! Unless they are 5 years old, they are grown ass men and should be held accountable and not be enabled by friends who expect others to wipe their asses.

Must have been a bad week. I have taken the breakaway out of new York for the past 4 years and have nothing but great service and a wonderful experience. Just wondering if you really wanted to try the slide why didn't you just take out your earnings.
