Review summary
We found that leaving out of NYC was convenient and being able to spend the money on the ship and not airfares. A little cold on departure but what do you expect for March.
Got on the ship quickly and with no problems was able to put our carry on bags in the room right away and headed for the bars and for some food.
We took turns in the complementary restaurant's every night, all were equally as good as the other. The steak was always good. The buffet in the morning if you got there before 8am was slow, after that it was crazy all day long but all the meals were good. The Irish pub was the place for wings. O'sheen's and you could get food to go back to your room with if you don't want to pay the room service charges. 7.95.
The entertainment was great Rock of Ages, burn the floor and howl at the moon saloon all fantastic.
There are bars all over the ship. If you have the ultimate beverage package find the bars you like and get to know the bartender it will help during the busy times and a extra tip wouldn't hurt too. First stop was port Canaveral not much to do there unless you booked a trip. We have a time share at the holiday inn beach resort down the road there and used the amenities for the day. Next stop was the private island. The tendering process does not always go well. Get their early if you can to get beach chairs. A lot of waiting and if the seas are rough, it will be a lot longer getting off and on the ship. Nassau was next, be prepared to get bombarded by the locales at the straw market or even just walking around the town. All the stuff in the straw market is the same. Every vendor has the same thing. Checkout senior frogs, always a good time.
The trip home went quickly because of a medical emergency on board had to get to new York quicker than normal. We got in to port about 1am on Sunday was able to see the statute of liberty all lit up it was cool. We carried out bags off around 8am and breezed through customs to go home.
Overall the cruise was good.
