Review summary

Overall, this cruise was at best mediocre.  The most impressive part of the cruise was the view of Statue of Liberty and Governor's Island when we set sail out of NYC.  Also, the staff and crew members were friendly, and the food was very good (not too salty).  Otherwise, entertainment was minimal, shows were not attractive, cleanliness was so-so (found hair in our towels and bedsheets), and ports of call were rundown and unpleasant.  Would I go on this cruise again?  No.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Though the food was a bit too repetitive, we found the taste was Excellent! It would have been a bit more convenient if the buffet ran 24 hours, like on some other cruise lines.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I would have enjoyed more free fitness classes in the afternoons. All fitness classes were in the morning, or charged a fee.

Entertainment

The shows on this cruise were so-so.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Muchamat, our housekeeper, was Excellent! Overall, the staff and crew members on this ship were very friendly and hardworking.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Though the ship was Huge, some parts started to look a bit run down.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The Best part of our trip was our cabin. We enjoyed the balcony view tremendously! Thank you SUZANNE DOYLE-WELCH, our United rep, for suggesting such a wonderful cabin! The location, mid-ship, was close to everything we needed!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

1 out of 5
Nothing to do at the Port.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

1 out of 5
Way too crowded.

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
Rundown, with extremely pushy locals.

I agree. Cruising out of NYC is amazing. Best part for sure.
