Review summary

We truly enjoyed our cruise.  We met a lot of great people, and found the benefits of the all-inclusive package was fantastic.  Cagney's had wonderful food, and Moderno was also good (the grilled pineapple was worth the cost if we had to pay for dinner).  We had some great service.  I do think the ship is a little too big, and the lack of an elevator in the middle of the ship makes getting around more difficult.  Also, the stops at San Juan seem like a waste.  The ships from NY usually don't arrive there until 3 or 4 and there really is not a lot to do (other than to go to Senor Frogs).  Overall, it was a good time and we would do this cruise again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Overall food was good. We were not as excited by the service in Le Bistro and pasta in La Cucina tasted reheated, but those were the only true disappointments.

Joevic in Cagneys and Ron (chirozo) in Moderno were awesome.

Bathroom was huge for a cruise ship.

Ship tip

If you want a chair by the pool, get up to the deck early. Also, the ship is so large and takes a while to figure out so get a map.

Ports of call

New York, New York

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Was good to be in a US port to check phone messages, pick up some items at CVS which is a block from the ship. Other than that, we did not do anything in San Juan.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Love this port.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
We always love St. Maarten. The only complaint this time was there were too many ships in port.

Castries, St. Lucia

Was OK. We could use a better tour guide.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Other than the weather, we were there one of the 25 days a year it rains, it was great.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Saw monkeys, went to a nice beach, had fun.
