Review summary

Had a great time with family that decided to join me last minute for this five-day(5) cruise that was a precursor of a forty-nine day (49) Cruise that I have booked on the Norwegian Bliss 1/22/23 to 3/12/23.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Arrived at the terminal, dropped off luggage with the Porter, breezed through security, check in, and after immigration had cleared the vessel, we were on the ship in under an hour.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in all the venues was plentiful, and delicious.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Had a blast zipping around the Go Kart track completing 11 laps with the fastest lap time. Cost of the Go Karts has nearly doubled from it's original $7.95(2018) a ride to a flat $15.00(2023). We played miniature golf, ping pong, attended trivia contests, wine tastings, and Karaoke. Also managed to get in daily 5 mile walks up on Deck 17.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Jersey Boys AND SIX were both Broadway caliber productions. The singing was extraordinary, the choreography spectacular, and the sets were exceptionally well designed in order to utilize to maximum effect the many talents of all the performers in the different productions. The Beatles were a group from Argentina, so when they were singing their numbers, you could definitely detect their accents which made for an oddly unique yet charming performance. The various bands, pianists and vocalists disbursed throughout the ship's Atrium, Brew House and bars were sufficiently talented to provide enjoyable supplemental entertainment opportunities throughout the rest of the ship and cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Bliss Cruise Staff continue to provide friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, polite, prompt and professional services to all the guests.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Bliss is our favorite ship in the entire Norwegian fleet. It is a beautifully designed ship that allows for a great flow of passengers so that the four thousand people aboard the ship are hardly noticeable EXCEPT st the in person muster drill and after a sold out performance in the main theater. Other than at those two occasions the traffic flows extremely well.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Had a Studio Cabin (99sq ft) which was well anointed and plenty of room for a single person. It has it's own private bathroom, a separate shower, full bed, two closets for hanging clothes, six shelves, a sink and faucet with mirror, an additional full length mirror, a desk and sitting area, and a nice large TV. The special added bonus to booking a Studio Cabin is the EXCLUSIVE Studio Lounge AND EXCLUSIVE Concierge that are both ONLY AVAILABLE to passengers booked in the Studio Cabins. The private lounge is a great area to get away from the rest of the ship in a quiet relaxing atmosphere that is well stocked with cookies, cakes, fruits, coffee and teas. There are plenty of couches and chairs for the 82 solo passengers to simply sit back and relax. The Concierge can assist solo travelers with reservations for dining (both specialty and complimentary) so you do not need to dine alone if you choose not to, as well as with group reservations to the entertainment options.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Did a Whale Watching excursion where we saw roughly a dozen whales and an equally large number of dolphins and sea lions in our two hours out in the water.

Ensenada, Mexico

We did a wine tasting excursion where the food and wine were plentiful at both wineries that we visited. Our guide, Ilma, was excellent.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Had breakfast in Savor, then waited in Martin's bar until immigration cleared the ship, then let the vessel at 10am, stood outside on the dock(in the loading area;dodging loading equipment) before we got right back on the ship for another cruise: 15-night full transist Panama Canal LA to Miami Cruise.
