Review summary

This was our first trip on a mega ship, had been reluctant, it was so much fun, so much to do, NCL does an exceptional job, I highly recommend them.

Embarkation

A little slow going due to Covid testing. Once we registered it was easy and fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
So many venues to chose from, even complimentary service. Food was very good, portions were plentiful. The buffet has a wide variety of foods, the Indian and Asian dishes were so good. Fun to be able to try a little off all. We ordered a birthday cake one evening and they delivered an amazing and delicious cake. We tried most of the specialty restaurants, all were top notch. Favorite was the Q smoke house, they offer dinner and a show. Food was delicious.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Never a dull moment, from the moment you wake up until late at night, eating, sunbathing, bowling, dancing, trivia, massage, gym, slides, go carts, and the list could go on and on.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Broadway shows, literally, Jersey Boys, Six, the Beatles were very good also. DJโ€™s and bands were great!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
First class service, all over the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very nice, basic cabin. Balcony was small. Plenty of storage and hangers. The decor was pleasing, the ship is relatively new so everything was sparkly and clean. Bed was super comfy. One great feature is the door to the balcony, easy to open and close. Iโ€™ve been in other cruise lines where it was a fight to open the door to the balcony, felt like I might loose a finger in the process.

Ship tip

Get the deposit offer, donโ€™t book a specific cruise, prices are high on board but the deposit is a good deal.

Ports of call

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Fun fact about the cathedral in Mazatlรกn, when they were building it, they ran out of money, a local wealthy Jewish family donated the funds to finish, as a thank you, the priest and bishop ordered to have a Star of David placed on every stein glass window in the cathedral. Visit the main open air market. Also, highly recommend Los Arcos restaurant, very good fresh seafood. This port is the where Pacifico beer is brewed, must have a cold one!

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Super fun little port, book an excursion to a beach or the rocks, worth it. We also got to see whales.
