Review summary

Overall, Bliss is a beautiful ship and there's plenty to do. However, NCL dropped the call on embarkation and left many guests feeling cheated of a full day due to the late boarding times.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Cruise was sold as a six-day experience with the traditional 12:00 noon boarding time (I had priority boarding). In reality, NCL had known for a year that guests wouldn't be able to board until after 7:00 pm due to multiple ships in port. NCL only notified guests one week prior and boarding extended past midnight.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I enjoyed The Haven restaurant more on this ship than on the Escape. Also had meals at Ocean Blue and Food Republic. Food was consistently good to great.

The Haven Restaurant (Exclusive to Guests of The Haven)

5 out of 5

The Haven Restaurant did not disappoint. Food was incredible and service was consistently great. They took extra special care of my sister, who is gluten-intolerant, and we were impressed to see more options available her than on previous Haven experiences.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

The show Six still needs some work. The audience wasn't sure whether to laugh, applaud, or be silent.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Nothing terrible, but it felt like there were a lot of new staff in training. In The Haven, you are assigned a butler - however, our butler was mostly MIA. We learned on the last day it was her last day on the ship, so that explains a bit.

Cabin / Stateroom

Slightly smaller than the same cabin on Escape, but seems to have been thought through a bit more.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

I can see "Six" needing improvements. They're still in the "out of town tryouts" phase where they'll be seeing what adjustments need to be made before it hits Broadway in Feb.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise, even with the hiccups.
