Review summary

Beautiful ship mainly nice staff but NCL need a lesson in how to schedule a cruise like this. I would 100% not recommend this itinerary as NCL are not organised at all for an out of the routine itinerary. Ship sat in the middle of the sea until we got to start boarding at 7pm, took until 10pm to get on. Muster drill at 11pm. Port in Vancouver cannot handle 4000 arriving at once. NCL could of avoided this by booking the Bliss a berth earlier before the other cruise company's book theirs. To then cancel Seattle as we boarded despite us finding out that it had been cancelled days before from a taxi driver on Vancouver island wasnt great. We got some rediculious excuse it was due to US immigration So then when we arrive in San Francisco and it takes 5 hours to clear us all. Total fail on NCL part. Their scheduling department need the sack, they have failed at every opportunity.

Embarkation

Horrendous experience it took 5 hours! NCL should be ashamed of themselves.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Speciality restaurants were 5/5 and the regular restaurants 4/5. The buffet was only 2/5. The bars were all very good and we never waited long for drinks despite being in port a lot with not all bars open.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Ok, too many were extra and Bingo was too expensive for the small prize money. $69 to play win $400 wasnt good enough in my book. $25 for deal or mo deal just as bad.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All very good. Just a shame NCL made yet another scheduling mess up and after pre booking on the app we get in board to be told it's now moved to a different night. Why ask us to pre book then!

Children's Programs

Because we didn't travel with our children!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Most were very good, a few let the side down, obvious for some it had been a long season in Alaska and they were needing a break.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Massive but always spotless.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean (but it's a new ship so expected this) good size for 2, great central location and no noice from bars etc didnt even hear other passengers.

Ship tip

Please do not believe all you read about it being very casual, we thought it might be too casual but in fact I wish I had taken more dresses with me. People did wear them, not ball gowns but nice dresses.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Spent 3 days here before we got on. Very central for getting from port to down town. Hop on hop off bus goes from here which was great. Also fly over Canada was amazing. Well worth doing.

Seattle, Washington Did not visit port

Because NCL diverted us at the last moment!

Victoria, British Columbia

Nicer than Downtown Vancouver but wasnt impressed that we had to spend 2 days here!

San Francisco, California

It took 5 hours from the ship arriving to getting off the ship. Only had time to do hop on hop off bus (which wasnt worth $110) we should of just got a taxi over the golden gate bridge, that was the only highlight. A walk round fisherman's wharf was really nice and lots of tourist shops etc. A nice place for an ice cream

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

Cant say much, we grabbed an uber then headed to our hotel. Advice book uber in advance as it was very expensive once we disembarked.

Disembarkation

Much better than getting on. Too good to be honest, all docked and ready to getting us off at 7am sharp. Likely happy to see the last of us as no managers to be seen. Port staff appeared organised
