we were very happy to book the Bliss. It is a beautiful ship and will look forward to another cruise someday. The organization of the embarkation and debarkation was horrendous. No planning at all. The port, Seattle was canceled the night before, which caused a HUGE mess for us and many others who scheduled tours in Seattle, we had 2 scheduled, although they were not through NCL we lost 300.00 on the tours since they needed a 24 hour notice. NCL did give a $100 credit to each room, but that was not enough. many many passengers were very upset, and quite a few said they would not book NCL again. I do not feel that way, we love NCL and will be planning more cruises
Embarkation
1 out of 5
it was the most unorganized embarkation we have ever been on. We were lined up like cattle awaiting to clear, had to go through 2-1/2 hours of waiting
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
never a problem with the food and drink. staff always wonderful.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
did a lot of activities, wanted to do the on board race track, but it had already been full and was on waiting list, but never did to experience it. the Jersey Boys concert was canceled the night we reserved, luckily we were able to see it (great show) the last night on board.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
the entertainment was first class as always, music on board was great, the shows were fabulous!
Children's Programs
no children of age
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
the waiters were great, main dining room, garden cafe, the specialty dinner waiters, were wonderful, one even packed up a to go plate since I couldn't eat all the dessert, he even packed an extra one for me (Cagney's)
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The new Bliss is beautiful! Even with over 4,000 on board (passengers) we never felt crowded, the elevators, of course, we had to wait a bit (they should have added a few more elevators) The layout was wonderful, rooms (mini suite) was very nice, it was nice having the larger bathroom with walk in shower. The design was beautiful, light colors which made it look much larger, large hallways, all in all a beautiful ship!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
no issue at all with the mid ship mini suite. Maria our steward was adorable and always available for extra towels, etc. Room was laid out great, we have been on the Epic 3 times and love that ship as well, the total layout of this cabin was much better, and seemed more roomier. beds were comfy, balcony, storage for items. etc.
Ship tip
If I were going on the Bliss, as soon as you can book, specialty dinners, shows, and activities on board (race track) please do so ASAP.
we were scheduled to have a stop at this port, and the night before, they canceled the stop. this was a 6 day cruise, which we were excited about this port, it did not happen, and we were given a $100 on board credit, which I believe should have been MUCH more Am still going to call NCL about this.
Still very very confusing and the planning and organization of embarking and disembarking should have been much better planned. we have been on 16+ cruises and have never experienced anything like this. We feel we SHOULD be compensated much more than the $100 on board credit, we will be contacting NCL
