Review summary

We had a great cruise except for the Seattle problem. Great weather each day, excellent food, great entertainment! We would love to go back on the Norwegian Bliss without our daughter so we could experience some more of the night life!

Embarkation

Overall I think it went as well as it could. Our embarkation got pushed back to 7:00pm and muster drill wasn’t until 11:00pm. That makes for a late day for kids.

Good food, service could be faster. We had lunch and dinner here and it took 1.5 hours to get through each meal.

Good food. We only ate dinner here on embarkation night. Pretty restaurant and the service was great!

Smoked peach margaritas were delicious!! Everything we ordered was so good! Much bigger portions than other restaurants!

We saw The Liverpool Beatles and Jersey Boys and both were fantastic! We would watch each show every night if possible.

Doesn’t compare to Disney ships, but how could it? My daughter went once and never wanted to go back. She didn’t like that all the kids had to participate in each activity instead of having some free time. Maybe she wasn’t there during the right time for that...

Worked great for us! Mini suite included the bigger bathroom and balcony, both we loved having. I think I would book this class of cabin every time.

Ship tip

Book dining reservations and show reservations in advance. Most specialty items will book up fast. You have to wait until you’re onboard to do the race track and laser tag reservations, and it should be the first thing you do.

We flew in the day before and had a great time. We did the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Granville Island Public Market and Queen Elizabeth Park. We ate poutine and loved it!

This is the only problem we really had with this cruise. Didn’t get to go to Seattle due to customs clearance. People were really mad because I believe Norwegian knew they wouldn’t be going before we boarded and didn’t notify guests because they didn’t want people to cancel. We had planned on going to Pike Place Market.

San Francisco, California

Loved San Francisco! We did the Hop On / Hop Off Bus tour and enjoyed going over The Golden Gate Bridge. We saw Alamo Square and Lombard Street. My husband and mother-in-law did Alcatraz and both loved it. Our balcony faced the bridge and the island so we got to enjoy scenic views from our room.

Victoria, British Columbia

We got to dock overnight in Victoria because Seattle was canceled. Beautiful city! We walked around the Inner Harbor and ate breakfast in The Parliament Building. Absolutely stunning!
