Excellent travel experience on a beautiful cruise ship with few hiccups. First time experience on a “free time” cruise. We had the perks of dining and a drink package.

Food and Dining

Two excellent steak meals at Cagney’s. A very good breakfast offering at the Local. Meals at Garden Cafe (buffet station) was varied and tasty. Eggs could be cooked to order at breakfast, if desired otherwise the meal choices were varied. Each day there was a special offering. Savor offered a limited but tasty meals. My personal experience at Q was not up to the overall quality standards of the Bliss. I had the smoked roast turkey which looked and tasted like a turkey roll from a deli as opposed to a true turkey dinner. Other members of my group enjoyed their non-turkey offering.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Due to age I did not partake of the many activities offered for the younger crowd such as laser tag, fitness center, pool activities, play area, miniature golf, race cars and dance classes. Enjoyed quiet times, reading, watching various game shows, bingo, various demonstrations, talks and karaoke as well as touring the Bliss.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The Norwegian Bliss has outstanding offerings. The Four Seasons Show is not to be missed. As with Havana, the lighting, set direction and offering, sound system and performance is Vegas quality. The Bliss Beatles perform in the Cavern in a cosy setting that takes one back to the bands’ beginnings. Caliente on the pool deck was very boisterous and youth-themed exuberance. Lots of visual stimulation like flashing lights, sounds and props. Siglo was a band worth watching and listening to, in particular their lead guitarist. Jim Badger, the entertainer/comedian performer at the District Brew Pub is hilarious. The country band was so-so. Clinton Jackson of the Levity Comedy group was funny. Unfortunately, the “Crank Up The Silence” silent disco concept sold out too quickly for us! None of the other cruise lines I have travelled with can compare with this entertainment lineup!

Ship Quality

This ship is brand new and looks after small details such as using fish swimming designs in the carpet showing the way forward.
Cabin / Stateroom

Good size living area with plenty of room in the bathroom for a couple. Bed was kind of soft though as I prefer a firmer mattress. Lots of charging stations for your electronics. Ditto for storing clothes and things.
Ship tip
Read the reviews on the Bliss and enjoy the experience!
This port is still recovering from past hurricane so some damage remains. We took the land and sea excursion and thoroughly enjoyed the sea experience portion of this tour.
This tour was disappointing. We were late leaving port and a two hour tour of Atlantis and the downtown area turned into a four hour one. On a number of stops we had fellow tourists over stay their timed visits. Would not return to this port.
