Review summary

There were some great times with our family on this voyage and some frustrating times in trying to navigate the ships design, posted regulations and lack of being able to participate fully.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was pretty effortless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining was nice, good food but could have been better by offering a seafood night and different feature foods in each area. Specialty restaurants we visited were excellent, the buffet was confusing and more like cafeteria food options this wasn’t our favorite.

Teppanyaki

5 out of 5

I loved this experience! Our chef Louie! Was phenomenal, he was funny, engaging and a wonderful chef everything here was cooked to order and there was so much food. He cooked the best fried rice that I have ever had and the fillet mignon and shrimp were also awesome!

The Observation Lounge

5 out of 5

I loved this area of the ship, great lookout, served some nice, light food options, chaise lounges to look out at the ocean, bar service, very open and spacious but also had a cozy feel to it. Loved this!

The Local Bar & Grill

5 out of 5

The Local was a great place! You could get simple fare here or the specialty of the day with a beer or cocktail, nice place!

The Manhattan Room - Main Dining Room

4 out of 5

The main dining rooms were elegant, had good food but could have had more variety and specialties separating one from another.

Cagney's Steakhouse

5 out of 5

This restaurant was awesome! I ordered the ribeye and it was perfectly prepared. The sides were also good. This is a great venue.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
With this large of a ship access was limited. Laser tag was fun but a hassle to try and book. Race track had long lines and ridiculous prices for a wrist band for the week. Game shows were fun as were the shows that we saw. Pools were nice but very cold and posted rules were left to interpretation by whoever was working at the time. All of these items could be run better with a little thought.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
These were all really great except for the items we could not get into.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
The kids enjoyed most activities, again initially Guppies said 2 and up but got changed to 3 and up so our little two year old couldn’t stay and play.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our steward Raymundo was awesome! Most of the staff was very friendly and accommodating with the exception of a few who either didn’t understand us or just didn’t want to assist.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The design of the ship was a bit chaotic and not what we expected but our handicapped accessible room was awesome! This ship was very clean and emphasized this for all throughout our cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was a handicapped accessible room. We enjoyed it so very much because my scooter fit nicely and I could move around the room with ease. We also were able to enjoy the balcony as well so this was a great room to stay in.

Ship tip

Enjoy the specialty dining package as those eating establishments were very, very good.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

2 out of 5
Hectic, crowded and hard to maneuver.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

4 out of 5
We did a beach day here and really loved that experience.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion here but did wander through the shopping areas and really enjoyed this area as well.

Nassau, Bahamas

2 out of 5
This is not our favorite port as you get accosted by people try to sell you this or that excursion, it’s an expensive port and we have never experienced good weather here. This trip was windy, cold and rainy so we stayed on the ship.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Disembarkation was a chaotic mess, we all got separated from our group and our particular shuttle never showed up to get us so we had to take a cab to our hotel to pick up our vehicle.u
