Review summary

Be prepared for long waits for eating due to the dining staff being short staffed. We rate things as will we go back and we will most likely not look for going back to the Bliss, Be prepared to make reservations before the cruise and on embarkation go to the Social to complete any reservation that are not on the NCL web page. We went to buy unlimited go cart tickets and had to go back to the Social after going up to the track. This ship is huge so expect with small elevators at the forward and aft locations in the ship. The crew has closed off portions of the decks and stairs around the go cart track which limits access to the 5 hole mini gold course. You actually go to the 5th hole to pick your ball and putter then walk through the course to get to hole 1. If others are playing, you are walking through their game.

Average lines waiting with excitement

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Long waits due to short staffing for dinner. It seems like NCL is forcing you to use something other than the MDR. Supervisors taking food orders and clearing table to accommodate the lines for eating. I was served cold food in the Local and could not get another order because no one returned after I placed the order. There places for evening dinner BUT lots of additional places to eat paying extra.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

3 out of 5
So so on Havana and really enjoyed "The Jersey Boys" If possible, make reservations for EVERYTHING before the cruise.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Grand daughter took advantage of 12 year old program. She looked at the schedule everyday to see what she could go do.They allow 12 year olds to check themselves in and out but we did not feel comfortable letting her run around thee ship by herself so we were there to do that.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Wait staff minimal in the restaurants we ate in. Long waits between courses in Manhattan Room. Supervisors taking orders, serving, and cleaning table and plates. I received the wrong food order in the Local and it was colder than what I like to eat my food. Our room steward did not give us the information of time change and did not provide us with 1 days activity sheet.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Too many small places to go eat, expensive costs for things ($1.65 for video games, $6 for electronic bowling). The layout does not seem to flow well. Lots of activity in the atrium that is dimly lighted to allow for the video to be seen,

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had an ocean view family room that was at the very front of the ship that had more closets and storage than most cabins due to the design of the ship. It accommodated a roil away bed. We liked the shower tub vice just a shower.

Ship tip

Take a credit card sized card to keep the AC on when out of the cabin, European style where you need to insert in a holder.
