Review summary

Favorite part of the cruise was the shore excursion in Juneau - dog sledding on the Mendenhall Glacier. Very handicapped accessible. Took great care of us. Next would be the suggestion of our agent for a suite. Very very nice and worth the money. Views from our Verandah were wonderful as well. Nice location of room too - quiet but accessible.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food allergies were accommodated but got very boring with lack of choices for my situation. Not quite the quality of several years ago (last Holland cruise).

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Since we don't drink or gamble not too many activities that applied to us. Photo/computer sessions were not MAC appropriate. Not into cooking. 1st couple Ranger talks were rather boring.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not as many production type shows as previously. Not as family friendly as previously either.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

Most were great but English was a challenge with some.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Huge amount of storage, nice size, big bathroom with two showers, jacuzzi tub.

Ship tip

Be sure to get a room with a verandah especially if going to Alaska. Viewing from common decks outside was cold and crowded but great from the room. No laundry facilities but laundry very reasonable to send out. Slippers, robes, binoculars furnished so don't pack those.
