Review summary

The Noordam was a beautiful clean ship. Only 2 years old. The food was fabulous and we loved the activities and being well taken care of. Holland America knows how to keep their customer's coming back.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
this ship had either open seating or assigned seating. We did the open seating which was more flexible. The choices of food and quality of food was very good and of course we ate too much!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We didn't care much for the dancers/singers on the trip but the juggler and comedian were very good. LOL's. There were lots of daily activities that we participated in and enjoyed. Trivia games, cooking demonstrations, a boat building contest. Lots to keep you busy if you wanted to.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
If you chose to do the buffet, there was always smiling faces to great you and help you get your drinks and even take your table to your seat for you. They were very helpful.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an inside cabin and of course they are smaller but we weren't in the room that much and it was just fine for us, and our steward kept it very clean and kept us happy.

Ports of call

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
This was a nice island if you enjoy shopping, lots of shops to look around in. The fort was fixed up really nice too, they are working hard to make this island welcoming to visitors.
Don't Miss: The floating bridge when they open it up for boats to go through.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
This was our least favorite trip as most people went shopping but we didn't want to do that and we didn't book an excursion so we just walked around. I recommend having plans for this island. We ended up on a city bus for $2 ea. riding around which actually was a good way to see the island if you're penny pinching.
Don't Miss: the opposite side of the mountian was more beautiful than where the port was.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
we went to the beach there, this is a good place to snorkel and scuba.
Don't Miss: taking a tour around the island, the port is not the most exciting part.

Roseau, Dominica

5 out of 5
The most beautiful of the islands we stopped at. Lots of rain forest to hike in. We took a local tour for $20 for 3 hours, very good deal.
Don't Miss: The waterfalls, Mama and Papa

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Very relaxing and enjoyed the beach.
Don't Miss: walking the beach and rocky area, beautiful views.

Pros: the ports and food

Cons: entertainment
