Review summary

If you are recent to cruising, you will think the cruise was great, but being a long time cruiser it’s not what it once was.

Embarkation

Long line I to get into cruise terminal. No separate entry for 4 or 5 star members. Once inside terminal it was fairly quick and easy.

Food and Dining

Dining room better than in recent past. Rudy’s and The Pinnacle were ok. As 4 star mariner members we get a discounted rate when dining in the specialty restaurants however we were charged a 18% service charge on the full price of the dinner before the discount. This is in addition to the daily gratuity charges. The Lido was the Lido. The deli and Waves were good.

Entertainment

Production shows were good. Music venues were very good. Better than they had on previous cruises. The HAL history on first night of cruise gets old for repeat cruisers. Only one of the guest entertainers were good. They were very good.

Service and Staff

The room attendants and the wait staff in dining venues were very good. Everyone one else were for the most part indifferent.
