Holland America cruises are much more laid back than other lines. But the food and service are so outstanding. We didn’t do any excursions on this cruise, but chose to get off at each port and walk around.

We ate our dinners in Club Orange. Staff was attentive, and gladly made any changes we requested. And when they didn’t have any chocolate ice cream in their kitchen, one of the waiters went to the Lido to get some! Must have was the Peruvian Chicken. Loved the Dutch Cafe - large caramel latte every morning! Lunches in the Lido. Enjoyed everything, especially the desserts.
Onboard Activities

Walked every morning on the treadmill, or did laps around deck three. Otherwise, mostly just enjoying the sunshine.
Entertainment

Sadly lacking. More entertainment is badly needed. Watching the dance troupes gets a little boring. Comedian was good, but need more entertainers. We understand that the Lincoln Stage performers are moving to the World Stage. We miss them.
Service and Staff

Always the best crew! I can’t imagine how much they smile and make a point of asking how you are. We never came across any unhappy crew member.

Neptune Suites are so worth the extra cost. Extra space, large bathrooms, extra deck space and use of the lounge. I celebrated my birthday on board with flowers, happy birthday signage, towel animals and chocolate chip cookies. Great Day!
Ship tip
Have embarkation lunch in the Main Dining Room. Much less chaotic.
