Review summary

When in San Juan the Carnival Breeze was docked next to our ship.While returning back to ship on the Carnival side they were playing Caribbean music and dancing on the dock with the ship dancers on the Nieuw Statendam side they were handing out cold towels.Which side would you rather be on?

There are very few activities. This ship is set up for a older crowd .There should be something happening during the day besides eating and sleeping.

The BB King All Stars and The Rolling Stones Band were fantastic they were the only real entertainment on board. Unfortunately after a few nights they became repetitious

There is definitely a difference, we are getting ready for a 2nd cruise on the Oosterdam. We are looking forward to relaxing plus we live in the San Diego area and we can cruise from here and not have to get on a plane. We enjoy the fun of other ships also and have 2 other cruises booked also on different lines.

Good comparison. Take Holland America for the itinerary, not the onboard entertainment.
