Lovely cruise. HAL is the best. Not for the drunken party crowd and no water slides, but elegant ship with impeccable service.

The food was excellent in the dining room. Food was served hot and well cooked, With quite a bit of creativity. Ate breakfast in the buffet. It was very good.

Not a lot of "fun" activities, but the pool areas were very nice.

Good stage shows (only dancers on the main stage). Loved the Lincoln Center Stage. 5 extremely talented and accomplished young musicians playing a great variety of music.
BB King stage was just too loud to be enjoyable. Good News eve party though. Billboard was good.

Wow, this made our trip. Everyone on board always greeted us with a smile and a good morning. Chairul in the dining room was outstanding. And Aristi in the buffet.

Dont bypass the lincoln center stage. Even if you dont like Classical music, its worth it.
Nieuw Amsterdam is a great ship. School vacations there is a mixture of ages but Holland is mostly for the elderly, which we are. Always peaceful around the pool as there are no loud bands or DJ’s, only piped in music. We loved it. Food in MDR was absolutely delicious every night. Cabin steward always greeted us by name and asked how our days were at each port. Cabin always spotless and never had to ask for anything. Make sure to try the Dive-In. Hotdogs, hamburgers and fries. The best hamburgers we’ve ever had anywhere. Pizza place also very good. Made to order and you get the whole pie not just a slice. They also have delicious Caesar Salad. Loved all the ports we went to. Would definitely go on the Nieuw Amsterdam again.
