Holland America is for the older crowd or for someone looking for a certain destination. Bring your own entertainment or just plan to relax and do nothing.
Embarkation

Outstanding
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Won't starve, same food everyday in buffet. Dining room had very small portions and the slowest service we've every experienced.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
The least amount of onboard activities we have every seen. We played shuffleboard a few times despite it's poor condition. Swam once in the SkyView pool. Fresh water was nice
Entertainment
2 out of 5
The older crowd liked the orchestral music, not our scene. Stage shows were much weaker then Carnivals. Ballet style, no singers. We prefer a bit more activity but if you don't like business and music, this would be the cruise to take. A lot of sitting around.
Children's Programs
No kids
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Room stewards were good, bar stay was efficient and friendly but scarce, dining room staff was nice but not efficient and so extremely slow.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was very clean, decor was nice and the overall appearance of the ship was outstanding. Well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was nice, different layout than we've ever had before. Closet area was a bit congested when we were trying to dress.
Great scuba diving spot! Dive excursion was great booked through the ship with Oasis Divers shop. They pick you up at the beach right off the port. No bathroom on dive boat but great dive master, great wall diving. Great visibility, beautiful weather.
Catamaran excursion was cancelled so did Ocean World instead. Fine excursion but the part about walking to a beach is not true. You stay at Ocean Worlf, see the shows and he back to the ship. Just ok. Weather was beautiful.
Will not go back to this port. We docked at the Navy Pier which didn't allow us to bring our dive gear off of the boat. For a boring cruise you must get your adventure at the ports. We are divers and bring all our own gear. We were devastated that we couldn't dive. Will not go back to this port.
