Review summary

The service was outstanding and it was obvious that this company knows what it is doing. Food was fabulous, the vow renewal ceremony was sweet and meaningful. It didn’t hurt that we were blessed with unusually fine weather. My biggest complaint was the constant upselling. It was annoying having everything be a sales pitch. Other than that things went pretty well without a hitch throughout the cruise.

It was a surprisingly long walk until we finally made it onto the ship, but it flowed pretty well. Glad we could drop our big bags and come back later after shopping in town.

Went on Nieuw Amsterdam last March but not to Alaska. Loved it. All of staff so friendly and always with a smile. Everyday our cabin stewards greeted us by name when he saw us and asked how our day was. Only problem, we had the anytime dining and it took at least 2 hours for the meal. No problem getting a table, just took forever to get the food. Food was delicious though. Next time will pick the timed dining.
