Review summary

cruise processing was good flowed pretty easy. Instead of having you stand in line to wait they had seats and processed as you came into facility. The Nieuw Amsterdam is a nice ship, rooms are great very spacious and comfortable. The staff was too laid back, had to ask for service on many occasions. Seating in the dining room on the lido deck was always an issue and the activities and shopping on board were scares. Audience is older.

We're doing this cruise in September. I'm actually glad to hear that the crowd is older because we are and we enjoy a more relaxing vacation than we did years ago when we were younger. Hope our cruise is the same.

We are on the Nieuw Amsterdam in November. Really looking forward to a laid back cruise after being on a few Carnival cruises recently. They weren't bad cruises, just ready for a calmer atmosphere.

We went on Nieuw Amsterdam in March. The cruise had a mixture of ages as it was school vacation in Florida. The ship could have more activities, but it is for an older crowd, which we are. The ship was great. Our cabin steward always greeted us by name when he saw us. The buffet crew always had a smile and so nice. Ports were great. Food great. Would definitely go again.
