I loved the variety of entertainment options.  The staff was very helpful and willing to accommodate all our needs.  The ship was very clean and our stateroom attendant was amazing.

BIG CHANGE SINCE THE LAST TIME I WAS ON THE NAVIGATOR!!! by QueenBlueyBluey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

And the changes were not necessarily for the best!

I love Royal Carribean but they remodeled the ship since the last time I was on.  The Promenade now has display cases showing the items they'll be selling throughout the trip.  Trust me, people know about the sales with the need of the display cases.

They were all about selling dinners at their restaurants.  We had one lady ask us to book a dinner at the Japanese restaurant.  We said, very politely, no thank you.  She said "Why?  Don't you like sushi?"  WHAT?????  I don't think anyone has to explain why or why not they want to eat there.

For the gratuities, it used to be that you handed you waiter, assistant waiter, stateroom attendant a voucher for your gratuities.  That was a very nice way to thank them and to give them a little extra if you would like.  NOW IT IS JUST AUTOMATICALLY ADDED TO YOUR BILL!!!  (which I actually think it's illegal to just automatically charge my card without my permission!)  I do not remember seeing anywhere that the gratuities would be added automatically and I certainly didn't sign anything for them to do that!

The Santa parade...lame!  I've never seen sadder looking elves.

The activities staff...with exception of two (the Scotish girl and a British girl without glasses) were rude and had not excitement.  The one staff member was late for an activity.  You could see that she was sleeping because of the fabric marks on her skin!

The best thing I did was not a Royal Caribean  thing.  My first excursion I've ever taken in all of my cruises was to SNUBA!!!!!  Best activity ever!

I love Royal Caribean but  the changes they made to the Navigator are very sad!

Ah, yes. by MerryChristmas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

3 ports of call.  Labadee : relaxing in the sun on the beach!  San Juan:  I have to spend a few days here in the future! Most awesome beaches, bike paths I am yearning to ride on, the sights and history!  St.Martin/St  Maarten are wonderful! take a tour through both and check out beaches with jets landing from overhead. and try the pastries!

Plenty to keep you busy on board.  very friendly ,  attentive ,  helpful crew and staff.  love the rock wall, flow rider and ice rink!  pools and hot tubs, shows and art sales!

See you again next year.

Good trip but busy ports by cubancruz60

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The service on the ship was excellent.  The food was good but the variety has declined from previous trips.  It was a good itinerary but it coincided with 7 other ships in Puerto Rico, which made the place insane.  In St. Maarten, there were 5 ships in, which made it busy.

Bad rating by jalcurejr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

This cruise was bad from the over two hour wait in showers on three lines until the departure on the last line.  The dining room food was terrible.  However, the service from the crew was the best they could do under the circumstances.

First Cruise by brendawolfswink

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We made our reservations very last minute but things went very smoothly. We had no idea what to expect. Outside of the boarding process not going well due to the port overbooking. The staff made learning the ropes easy and our trip very relaxing and enjoyable. Just what we were looking forward to.

Navigator of the Seas Cruise by PatriceJohnson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

On-boarding to the ship was TERRIBLE.  There was NO communication as to WHY everyone had to stand in rain and then hot sun to wait for HOURS to board the ship.  There was a makeshift port it seems created for this departure as though this was an afterthought. Seniors and those with young children had to wait in this brutal wait.  The Food sucked in both the Windjammer and Dining room.  Food left out way to long and offerings very limited.  It appeared we were being forced to pay EXTRA if we wanted good food by paying for the restaurant dining which is NOT acceptable given the amount of money being spent to cruise.

Overall A Good Cruise by healersherri

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

Overall a good ship.  The ship had a lot of activities, and the food was very good.  Housekeeping was very good.  Labadee, Haiti was very disappointing.  The beach was dirty, the waves were too strong, and walking on rocks was not fun.  Their ice skating has very limited availability, and you can only skate thirty minutes at a time. I was very upset with that.

Review Of 11/23-11/26 Cruise (Navigator Of The Seas) by sunilgarimella

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The best part was the variety of onboard activities for both adults and children.

Quality fallen through the floor - Prices gone through the roof by davidlebetkin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

During the past few months Royal Caribbean have reduced the quality of many items. Cheapest food in the main dining room (soy meatballs on formal night!!). This is the first time ever that lobster tails were not even offered. $27.99 (plus 18% gratuity) for one day internet that didn't work properly. Unable to log on to the internet for only 10 minutes a day just to retrieve emails, 24 hours minimum at ludicrous price. Staff "forgot" to call people for immigration leaving many unable to disembark the ship at Boston. The promenade was like an eastern bazaar every day trying to sell, sell, sell. The whole cruise had the taste of a company in financial trouble especially after a senior guest services manager said, and I quote, on why we had to transport our own luggage to the pier,  "We don't have the finances available". Nightly entertainment was very poor.

Great activities and restaurant stff by dgroediger

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

We enjoyed the activities and restaurant experiences.

Our room and attendant were not up to par.   We expected a "virtual window" and were disappointed to find our cabin in such poor condition.

To Miami without a table by donulm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

The cruise was enjoyable - good food and exceptional staff!

However, I do have a comment about the ship's cabin furnishing:

Somebody made the decision to remove the one table (coffee table) out of all the staterooms.  It is my strong desire that that person should take a 32-day vacation (as we did) in his home and have all the tables removed.  Which means they would have to use the floor as the only place they can sit the cups and glasses. And when they eat they have hold their plates on their laps.  Of course, if they want to refill their drink or get up for any reason then they must set their plates on the floor.  What could possibly be the reason the decision would be made to remove all the coffee tables from in front of the couches????

The RCCL web site shows a table in the rooms of this ship.  This then makes it impossible to tell when you are booking if you will have a table in front of the couch on any of the other ships. Is RCCL going to do this on all their ships? I sincerely doubt we will sail again on a ship that has no table in the cabin.

We are Diamond plus on RCCL so it is not our first cruise, but it is the first and hopefully last cruise we will take without a table in the room

Something just not right about how ship was run. by cle1216

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Had to clear customs in Boston and Miami. By the time customs was cleared in Boston it was too late to leave ship, only one our until had to be back on board. In Miami had to hand carry luggage down 8 floors by stairs because elivators were not working. Then had to stand in line 45 minutes just to get off the ship. Single file.  Ship seemed totally disorganized and out of control, no organization, mass confusion.

The service on this cruise was the best from cabin to dining - the staff made our trip extra special. Also, even though the seas were rough, everyone was cheerful. The ice skating show was the best!!

Immigration exercise NOT ACCEPTABLE. Took from 7am to 3:30p to process  GUESTS - no time to see city. Onboard by 4:30p.

Unknowlegdeable Crown & Anchor Rep caused me to miss Diamond Plus benefits.

Promenade Cafe-no coffee cups most days at 8am.

Boston tour-overpriced , misrepresented.
