Review summary

On-boarding to the ship was TERRIBLE.  There was NO communication as to WHY everyone had to stand in rain and then hot sun to wait for HOURS to board the ship.  There was a makeshift port it seems created for this departure as though this was an afterthought. Seniors and those with young children had to wait in this brutal wait.  The Food sucked in both the Windjammer and Dining room.  Food left out way to long and offerings very limited.  It appeared we were being forced to pay EXTRA if we wanted good food by paying for the restaurant dining which is NOT acceptable given the amount of money being spent to cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Food was left out to long in the Windjammer which had it cold, very dry, or simply NOT edible. Dining room desserts awful. Rum Baba cake needs to be removed from the menu as it's bread with ice cream on top very FAR from rum cake and extremely disappointing. The food was not very seasoned.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Not a lot to choose from. To many activities occupying the same space ie. basketball, volleyball and dodge ball.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Shows were very weak. Ice skaters need more practice as there was way to many falls in the show. Not very many options to choose from for entertainment.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Didn't travel with kids so unaware of the programs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Sanan Nunook in the dining room provided extraordinary service.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Older ship and the carpets and toilets NEED thorough cleaning as the wear and tear can be visibly seen.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Toilet and carpet can use some thorough cleaning.

Ship tip

Be prepared to spend extra money if you want good food as the Windjammer and Dining room food seems to be prepared for chefs who are in training as it's not seasoned and is not fresh most times.
