Review summary

We enjoy sailing on Royal Caribbean ships. We’ve sailed on several ships and we are never disappointed. RC does an outstanding job of making sure we have memorable experiences and therefore, are sailing with them again in September.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had a reserved dining time and the food was delicious. The Windjammer had a variety of food choices for everyone.

Entertainment

The skating show was excellent. We enjoyed the singing and dancing shows; their costumes were beautiful. Bobbi Wilson’s show was very entertaining. I can’t remember the jugglers name, but his show was great. Royal Caribbean always has wonderful shows and that’s why we enjoy sailing with them.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our dining room waiters Jorge and Putu Edy did an amazing job. They always greeted us with a smile and served our food promptly. We had breakfast on Deck 3 every morning and we were served by excellent waiters such as Iketut and Yadi. Anil made it a point to chat with us and shared some of his experiences on RC. The Wndjammer staff worked quickly to serve everyone and to clean the tables. Our room steward Christopher kept our cabin very clean. We find that everyone from guest services to bartenders and other staff work very hard to make all of the guests have an enjoyable trip. We spoke to several ship personnel who spoke very highly of the cruiseline.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The entire ship was very clean and we saw the staff moving about cleaning constantly.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was very comfortable and it was adequate space for two people. There were plenty of hangers and storage space for our things.

Ship tip

Book your excursions before you board.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

The traffic to the terminal was busy, however, the lines moved quickly.

Ensenada, Mexico

5 out of 5
We enjoyed visiting two wineries and sampling the wines. Our guide Karla was knowledgeable about the history of Ensenada. Her English was very good and she was easy to understand.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
We went on a land and sea tour. The guides were great.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Did not visit port

We were taken to Mazatlan instead of Puerto Vallarta. We didn’t take an excursion, but we did some shopping at the port.
