Review summary

Overall, you wouldn't go wrong booking this cruise. Just make sure that you understand floors above and below you and what is there. Would recommend checking out the dining package. Same general restaurants on all of the RC fleet, but generally a decent selection. The bigger ships certainly have more of a selection, but there is certainly something to be said for being on one of the smaller ships...especially if it is one of your first cruises.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Ate mainly in the main dining room and had My Time Dining. Getting seated seemed like a disaster every night. Have always been happy with the food in dining room so decided to forgo dining package this time. Think we should have stuck with the dining package. Food ok. Not always hot when it arrived. More room temperature. That isn't great when you are talking about a salad.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools; different shows; casino; sports bar; activities throughout the day. Overall good. RC needs to think of some different activities...belly flop; sexy man; love and marriage; etc... become same ole same ole.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Nightly shows pretty darn good.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All the waiters we had were very harried. Room Service not what we have been accustomed to. Room Steward was EXECELLENT. Can't say enough good about him.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean and well maintained. Just didn't like the design of going from front to back for Royal Theatre, etc. Worked if you wanted to make sure everyone always went through the casino or tried to cram into an elevator or you needed to do stairs and that doesn't always work with many of the people that are on the cruse.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin itself was fine. Definitely showed its age. Window difficult to see out of. The thing you need to know about this cabin is that it is right by Studio B. If you want to rock to the beat every afternoon and evening, then it won't be a problem. However, if you don't want to feel like you are in the bass drum around midnight, it would not be the place for you.

We have sailed on Navigator 3 times. First you can always schedule your my timing dining reservations ahead of time in the cruise planner to make the process faster in getting a table. Also I hate this comment with this class of ship where everyone is upset that the main theater empties into the casino. That’s on you cause if you walked up one more flight of stairs you can walk down the royal promenade and bypass the casino!

Appreciate your feedback. Sometimes it’s difficult to see exactly what’s near your cabin. Glad you mostly enjoyed your cruise.
