Review summary

We took the family on a weekend getaway to the Bahamas. It was the first time our kids had gone on a cruise. They both had a blast and are excited about going on another one.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Initial check-in and ship boarding were great. The staff was a pleasure to deal with.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food overall as great. We ate in the main dining room for dinners, and only experienced one meal that was less than excellent. The wait staff remedied the issue very quickly, swapping my wife's steak out for a much better and leaner cut. Even our very picky eating kids thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
My daughter loved the Flowrider in the back of the ship. It did seem the hours were a bit limited, and the lines got very long at times. We also did the on-board water slide, but there too the long and slow lines made it something we did not do very much. The main pool. the one where kids were allowed to go, was typically overrun by adults drinking. Also, the nearby hot-tub was less than enjoyable when little kids were jumping in from the edge, splashing hot water all over the place.

Entertainment

We did not go to any of the evening shows

Children's Programs

Did not us the children's programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service from all staff was superb. The cabin steward, Martin, was hardly seen, but always made sure out needs were met.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Overall the ship was in great condition and the staff do an excellent job of maintaining it.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
There were four of us, so I got a cabin with a balcony, and I am glad I did. Ship cabins are usually small, this was no exception. However, having the balcony afforded us some extra space so we were not tripping over each other. The cabin was in great condition and the steward did a great job of maintaining it.

Ship tip

Kick back and enjoy your stay.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

This was simply where we boarded and disembarked the ship we did not explore the Miami area at all.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This was our first time at Coco Cay. We bought tickets to the waterpark, and it was worth it. The island itself was a lot of fun and we enjoyed walking around exploring the different sections. The only downside was the pool in the center area, with the swim up bar, was so crowded there was no way I was letting my kids in there.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Been to Nassau multiple times before, we stayed on the ship. Judging by the lines at the on-board water slides, a lot of other people did the same thing.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We got breakfast and got of fthe ship without any issues. The process was quicker than check in, including going through Customs. We are already talking about when we want to go on another cruise.
