Review summary

Overall excellent experience. Embarkation process seamless. Our flight was delayed by 6 hours, and we just barely got on the ship on time. But there was an available RC bus at the airport to take us to the port. Were we ever relieved!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Seamless and quick

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent food quality, service exceptional.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
This is the one exception of the whole cruise. There were many passengers complaining that there towels and personal items were removed after being left for only 1/2 hour without any warning. We had the same experience. This could easily have been prevented with a policy statement in the Compass that unattended items would be removed after 30 minutes, and the chairs and seating areas will again be available to other passengers.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Top quality productions. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very friendly and helpful (with the exception of the towel police)

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Well maintained and pleasing to the eye.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Well laid out and clean.

Ship tip

recommendation to cruise line regarding the removing of towels and personal items per above.

I will not tolerate chair hogs. I move their stuff and sit. No one owns the chairs, and we all paid to use them. Enough said.

Carnival is 40 minutes

People come in the morning, drop a towel on chairs with their big clothes pins, leave for the day, come back and I hope their stuff was removed. They have some nerve. I sat on a lounge chair on my Carnival cruise last year, put her towel and book she had under it on top of her tote bag. I sat for an hour because I wanted to sit. It was time for me to leave and she never came back. I asked a man if the chair was taken by his family. Another cruise on HAL, I found another chair with things on it, sat, they had the nerve to leave without taking it. The father of the kids said they're going to an activity and I said Take it. People don't give a hoot. I will sit on a chair until they might come back and removed the towel. I will sit on an empty chair. I'm tired of these Chair hoggers.

When you take a cruise, always go the day before or 2 days before so you don't have problems.

It is unconscionable that when there are no lounges available you do not give up your lounge chair if you are not using it for a half hour.

If you aren't using the chair for over 30 minutes you shouldn't have been reserving it in the first place 🤷‍♀️

The 30 minute policy has been in effect for quite a while. I'm glad to see that they are enforcing. Chair hogs are the worse!
