Review summary

We started cruising in 1990 and have done 27 of them and this was the Worse cruise ever-worse check-in process, worse quality of food, worse entertainment, and by far, the worse disembarkation process ever. Quality of food was not good in the main dining room and then they bugged us everywhere we were on the ship to buy into their dining packages.  So they lower the quality so they can make you pay more to get the quality that you should have gotten for what you originally paid for. Long lines on check-in day with long waits and no place to sit. The Ice show was good, the stage shows were OK, the rest of the nights entertainment were comedians with the first one pretty good but they got progressively worse until the last night where people were  parading out of the theater because he was so bad. Debarkation was a disaster-they told us to meet in the main dining room at 7:45 AM for an 8:00 AM departure.  When we got off the elevator on the 4th floor to go to the dining room, we could go no further. people were all jammed up and we stood there in front of the elevators for half an hour with no ship staff around to give direction. When we finally got into the dining room, no one was sitting.  There was a long line parading through the entire dining room like a herd of cattle and after an hour and a half of standing and being paraded around we were finally off the ship.  SHAME ON YOU ROYAL CARIBBEAN.

Agree with all you said, esp disembarking. Was actually kind of scary.

I agree with you...we were in the same cruise. What a mess and poor quality food. The escargot, lobster, prime rib and filets were not the same quality they use to be. The people walking around were SO annoying...they need to stop that. We are trying Celebrity Reflection next year. I get they are owned by RC, but I know people that have been on it and they say the quality and variety is still there.

61 cruises. Always find good thing about cruising.

We were on the 9-day cruise and had both prime rib and lobster.

We noticed they made cuts in the dining room also. I love the prime rib but it was not even offered on our last RC cruise. Guess I'll try Princess and see if they've taken it off the menu too.

Boy oh boy, somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. We were on the Navigator of the Seas last month and had a wonderful cruise, with RCI meeting all of our expectations. I will agree that the disembarkation was extremely unorganized, but that amounted to less than 1% of my cruise experience, hardly enough to make this the worst (not worse) cruise ever.

I'm totally agree with you. My first cruise was back in 2000 since then I have done numerous cruises but each time the quality and standard of services decline compared to the previous ones. Unfortunately it's happening is across the whole cruise industry. It's the new business strategy, reduce service staff and keep the headline price low to attract more new cruisers then sell the various money grabbing packages once on board.
