A bit unorganized

Sail Date: May 04, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Room Type: Balcony

While the ship was beautiful, the wait staff seemed a bit disorganized.

Pros: The ports of call

Cons: The disorganization of the wait staff

Recommends Navigator of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
The disorganization of the "My Time" dining was evident from the first night. The Maitre d' was either new to the job or did not have sufficient training. You could tell he really didn't know what to do. Two lines were formed for the regular diners plus the "my time." Three times we had to move lines. As for the maitre d' we didn't see him in the dining room during the entire trip.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
I was very surprised the refrigerator was not checked and refilled daily.
Entertainment
The ice shows are not to be missed!
Service and Staff
The Cruise Compass that is given the day prior to the port of call had pertinent information, but really could have had someone use a "spell checker" for words such as "dinning" instead of "dining."

The prepaid tips were to come to the stateroom prior to dinner so they could be put in the appropriate envelopes for disbursement at dinner. We had to request the slips from our stateroom attendant, who was excellent, and he said they were behind in the printing of the documents. We had very little time to get them ready and make it to our requested seating time.
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
The Leaning Tower is a must see.
Cannes, France
Loved the Fragonard perfume factory and the 14th century town.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
The Coliseum, the Forum, and of course, St. Peter's.
