A: we flew in to LAX took a Uber to San Padro, stayed at the Crowne Plaza, walked down to the port. only 3 blocks, even walked around town. Had a wonderful time with no problems. The motel will even take you there.

Q: What does NOS do on day 2(Sea Day) on the 4 day Avalon/Ensenada? It leaves LB at 4pm on Day 1 and arrives Avalon 8 am on Day 3. Avalon is a 1 hour ferry ride from LB. Does the ship just drive around in circles for 38 hours?

A: Yes, it just sails very slowly and goes out far enough to be in international waters so the casino can open.
Answered by MiltonE on August 10, 2024
A: Yes. At dead slow. It is very stable, calm way to travel and enjoy the activities aboard the ship.

A: We did the 4 day Ensenada and Catalina cruise on Navigator last December and after we left San Pedro we sailed down south between Ensenada and Cabo before turning around to port in Catalina. I guess it depends on the Captain or sailing tho. There’s a... channel on the TV that will track your sailing!See More

Q: Dining solo? When I booked the only option was My Time Dining 8:00pm Waitlist. Not sure what this means or how dining on board works.

A: On embarkation day go to the dining room and speak to the maitre d’… They might be able to find you an earlier time to dine. On Royal for my time dining there are 2 lines. 1 is for people that have a timed reservation and the other is for those that... just walk down and want a table but those in that line have to wait for a table to open up. So that’s always an option if you don’t mind waiting.See More

Answer QuestionA: No free wifi. We always purchase the internet package
Answered by daleliz on August 10, 2024
A: If you want internet id recommend purchasing it ahead of time as the onboard price will be higher. We always purchase it cause the selection of TV shows on Royal ships is very limited but that’s just our preference. Now that Royal has Starlink it’s e... asy to stream the shows we want on our laptop.See More

A: No free WiFi unless your loyalty level is UP there. Buy a package online or when onboard
Answered by Nursey01 on August 3, 2024
A: To piggyback on Nursey1's answer, the only people I know that get free WiFi are those who are Pinnacle with Royal Caribbean's Crown 👑 and Anchor ⚓️ Society. Lower levels get discounts on it example: Diamond 💎 Plus get $60 off whatever WiFi package yo... u buy.See More
Answered by Noncapisco on August 4, 2024
A: The package is the best deal if you want to have internet *every day,* but I’d argue a day-pass, only purchasable onboard is a lot more cost-efficient if you only play to hop on for one or two days (depending on the length of cruise and how much you... need the internet).See More
Answered by NTaflan on August 5, 2024
A: That’s not an easy answer, because it really depends on what you like. There’s plenty of food and variety at the buffet and the MDR, in my experience, but that may not be enough for you.
Answered by TheBigSalad on May 20, 2024
A: Not sure if you like seafood but in our opinion the best specialty dining venue on this ship is Hooked. Chops is great but you can get that on any royal ship. But not every ship has a hooked! 😉 (some say the MDR is great and it is but we always splur... ge on the unlimited package now on all our cruises cause we enjoy the elevated food in the specialty dining venues… it’s all your preference tho)See More
Answered by livlifenoregret on May 30, 2024
A: I find that Royal Caribbean’s prices for the specialty restaurants are way overpriced. Considering that you’ve already paid for your meal when you bought the ticket...
Answered by karencruiser on May 27, 2024
A: We have done Chops and Giovani’s! We had steak in the MDR good! But in Chops???!!! Steaks were 2” thick and very delish!! Giovani’s. Was ok nothing that blew it away. So we picked a night that we didn’t care for NDR food.

A: We sail on Navigator in about 8 days and in my cruise planner the All Access Ship Tour is available to book under the “Onboard Activities” section. It’s currently listed for our sailing at $92.99pp.
Answered by livlifenoregret on December 3, 2023
A: I asked them and they said it was no longer available. At least for my cruise anyways.
Answered by sannyd on December 2, 2023
A: When you go on the ship, find out about it. It probably will cost a lot.

Q: My husband had a couple questions too. Do we have to wait until we are on the ship to tell them we want either two separate beds or one king? And can you limit kids spending on their cards? How does that work?

A: i chose the beds when booking my rooms
Answered by nikki1321 on February 25, 2023
A: You can call Royal to request the bed setup before the cruise or just let the cabin steward know once on board. Per Royal's FAQ's - The system is automatically set up to a $50 per person per day limit. We can increase/decrease this limit to whicheve... r amount you would like. Just ask your friendly Arcade attendant once onboard to adjust the limit. Please note, this is a daily limit only.See More

Q: Long time cruiser on Carnival here but first time on RC. Doing the 5 day in March. Here are my questions: 1. Are there any theme party nights? Like Carnival has 80’s night and sometimes black and white night. 2. Anyone know if the virtual balconies can be turned off? Like at night if we want it 100% dark? 3. Our cruise is fully booked, what is it like on a full ship? Will we have to fight to do everything ? 4. Any tips or information about the teens club? I have two that are HS age. 5. For those who have done this cruise several times before, do you think it will be warm enough at the end of March to swim in the ocean at Cabo, we desperately want to take the kid’s snorkeling. I think that’s it for now, thanks 😊

A: We have been on Navigator 7 times. They have always had a 70’s night. A couple of times they had an 80’s night too. When my daughter had the virtual balcony, she said it was pitch black at night, and didn’t see anything. Otherwise she closed the curt... ains around it. Yes, it can be really packed as the weather gets nicer. The teens club always has great reviews. No complaints. My family has always been able to get in the water in Cabo at that time of year. Hopefully this year, it will work out for your family also. yearSee More

Q: Can anyone suggest a clean safe hotel near the Royal Caribbean cruise terminal? I previously received some suggestions, but found out they’re near the Carnival cruise terminal & not the RC terminal. Thanks in advance.

A: We are staying at the Crown Plaza, San Pedro. We have stayed here before and liked it. It's right across from the Cruise Terminal and you can get parking included and shuttle to the port.
Answered by Jewels on February 4, 2023
A: I'm staying at the Vegabond inn San Pedro. Has good reviews, not to pricey, not far from Port, free shuttle to Port (one way only) and you can park your car there too for $10 (compared to $20 at the port)..if needed.
Answered by semowery on February 3, 2023
A: Our party ended up staying on the Long Beach side by the Carnivalport. we thought our hotel was in San Pedro, however if you have the time we just took an uber over to the port. without traffic about a 15 minute ride.
Answered by Travelbuggler on February 3, 2023
A: No. Royal Caribbean calls it "dress your best" night, which allows each passenger to decide their own level of "fancy". Definitely a watered down formal night, and you don't have to participate anyway.
Answered by joshovermyer on January 13, 2023
A: We did three formal nights o all other nights smart casual 😂
Answered by mrjdlovely on January 13, 2023
A: No. Smart casual. Except for formal nights. ALL types of dress on those nights. I personally don’t enjoy that so head to the buffet
