Nice ship ,helpful crew ,buffet food and entertainment rubbish.No variety in either.Trips off ship expensive but only way to get off ship.Embarcation took 3 hours .

We had another splendid experience in the Yacht Club section of the MSC Splendida cruise in the Arabic Emirates. Excellent butler service, and delicious dishes in the speciality restaurant. You feel yourself a special guest at home in the YC. Captain comes personnally to the lounge, while he takes time to talk with every individual passenger.

A business is only as good as it’s employees! A ship is only as good as it’s crew! I’ve chalked up 3 cruises now, each with a different cruise line, so I now have something to compare my experiences with. MSC Splendida is a lovely ship, that’s for sure, and she’s quite easy to negotiate. Our Aurea Experience balcony stateroom was nice and spacious and kept well by our housekeeping steward. I enjoyed having a larger bathroom than the standard balcony rooms have. Both embarkation and disembarkation went without a hitch. The food choices in the buffet and main dining room restaurants was very hit and miss. I would have loved being offered the opportunity to try some better quality seafood and a nice piece of steak. Quality salad options were few and far between. Desserts were mostly cake style. Where were the tarts, puddings and cheesecakes? We did not attend any of the shows, the casino or the disco as we were usually too tired from the day touring we did. We enjoyed the tours, in particular the Jeep Safari one on Sir Bani Yas Island and the Dhow Fjord one in Khasab. Finally, the staff! Most just got on with their jobs and came across reasonably pleasant BUT there were a handful of them who were just downright obnoxious or plain rude and arrogant. On one occasion when we were headed off the ship I asked a young Russian sounding staff member a question about taxis and the tone of his response was incredibly rude and disrespectful. This type of experience happened a couple of times during our cruise. The Asian staff were all wonderful. The culprits were always Russian sounding. These are NOT people who should be working in hospitality! Would we sail with MSC again? Probably not I’m afraid! We’ll be continuing to cruise but will be trying out the other cruise lines to see what they can offer. Hopefully better food choices with more polite crew!

We enjoyed our time during this cruise and learned a lot about the history and culture. Definitely a trip checked from our bucket list!

We have just returned from an excellent cruise on MSC Splendida. Overall I would rate this cruise 4.5 out of 5. The food was very good in both the MDR and the buffet. The staff were excellent in the main , the odd cranky one but that seems par for the course on MSC , so I wouldn’t pay any attention to that. The cabin was in an excellent position which makes all the difference , and the room attendant was very good. The only negative things I could report back was the casino was a bit disappointing, very quiet and not much choice on the tables, also some of the dealers were of a very poor standard. The overnight stop in Dubai is very good. Will cruise with MSC again hopefully.

Splendida is a lovely ship staff are friendly and helpful only the average food and shows let it down fix this and it would be 5 stars across the board

Our first cruise with MSC and we booked the Yacht Club on Splendida and what an excellent choice we made. The food, drinks, service, cleanliness of the ship and the staff were amazing, we could not fault anything, it was perfect and everything we wanted. From now on all our holidays will be in the Yacht Club, it was the best cruise we have had and we have done Marella, NCL and Royal Caribbean. I cannot rate it highly enough, thank you MSC.

We were part of a group of 73 persons, all was very well organized. We had 4 excursions included, which was very easy fir us. But we cruise normally on longer cruises, but we couldn't change the package.

Amazing Cruise ship, we enjoying everything on this cruise...

First time in MSC and for us to come back will be a long time, good food but little quantity and the drinks very badly carrying the package.

MSc Splendida Dubai December 29 2018 Hi all first of all this ship is beautiful inside cabins a good size and that’s the good bits sorted the attitude of 90% of the staff was terrible food so terrible the main restaurant was atrocious we went there on 2 occasions both was so bad we ended up at the buffet on 14 not much better still cold and not much of a selection the excursions staff was so bad we had many matters that needed addressing but got nowhere we booked 6 trips only 2 was good they seem to take your money give you a sticker and let you find your own way and find the appropriate coach for your sticker from leaving the ship they are not interested no head count there was people left behind at stops 1 family was left behind at a theme park there was no head count I could go on but we’re so annoyed with msc excursion staff it got very heated at times they had there money and didn’t care after that This was our first msc cruise and no surprise our last. overall I put 2 stars that was for the the few staff that we got friendly with and they also said to us that they enjoy going ashore to get food as they also think it’s bad MSC you need these matters addressing

It was a nice cruise with unusual ports, we enjoyed Sir Bani Yas island beautiful beach and an awesome drive around the island. We also enjoyed the jeep desert safari in Qatar.

Nice cruise, not to long, 30 days, seen a lot of countries en people, the cigarlounge on board was also great! Many new friends from diferent countries! In october we will sail with the MSC Divina from Genua to Miami, cannot wait....!

Sailed with MSC for the first time in Feb 2018 from Dubai. Had a great holiday, the ship was beautiful and very grand. Food was nice, but could be a little samish. Only let down was the evening shows really.We would have left watching them after the first couple, but our 8 year daughter enjoyed them.

Leuke cruise. Soms druk op dek 14 , maar rustiger helemaal achteraan bij achterdek. Het eten is correct maar niet echt gastronomisch. Het drankenpakkket is ok, maar mocht wat meer biersoorten bevatten, en het water in de kajuit, zodat je geen flessen vanuit de bar moet meezeulen. De 4 excursietickets die reeds voorzien waren voor vertrek, worden in de kajuit bezorgd samen met het infokrantje de avond ervoor. Tenminste dat was de bedoeling, 2 tickets moesten verdeeld worden in chaos bij vertrek de dag zelf.

Love the boat. Staff plenty of room to move about. We had a balcony which was typical room, there wasno shortage ofspCe to sit down and enjoy a drink we are lookung forward to getting on the Bellisima next Aug

Perfekt cruise, next cruise is Planung ob April, we will Go ffrom Venedig with Poesia Ort Musica, it is our a eight cruise with MSC and we Will Never Go with another cruise line

Just got back from our western med cruise and I have to say MSC standards have slipped somewhat. We have cruised with MSC twice before and never had a problem with anything. The ship needs a refit as furniture is not always as clean as it should be. The tablecloths in main dining room have lots of loose threads which are easy things to remedy. We had a balcony room on 11th deck which was absolutely fine, and the beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in. There are definitely less staff than last year so service in bars was slow. The ship is beautiful in design so it's a shame that we found things a little under par. On our first couple of days we couldn't find anything on the menu that was to our liking and there were 4 of us, although as the week went on things improved. Come on MSC we have always blown your trumpet and feel a little let down.
