Review summary

It was a nice clean ship to begin with. This is not a children oriented cruise, but there were many of them. The excursions are pricey and not very worth it. Everything is included in price as far as food outside of drinks, ice cream, and room service. Very nice to have all announcements in every language needed. Itinerary is given at the end of every day for the next day's adventures. No real city information given if you do not go out on the boat excursion. Not very much time in some places even though it may be a huge city.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Nice selection. Usually cold. Trying to get through the buffet is horrible. Drinks at an additional fee.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Nice shows in a huge theater but they could be better. Bars all around. You have a few options for food. Exercises in morning and evening. Shops on board have decent hours. Spa, sauna and salon as well for additional fees. Mini golf needed more holes and score cards. Rock climbing wall advertised on the boat and no where to be seen. Not too much going on during a typical day. You have to make your own fun unless you are willing to spend more money.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
What programs? The kids should not even have been on the boat!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Nice. They like to make animals in the rooms with your towels. Informative of information you should have received. Make sure you have what you need and understand the boat rhythm.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Nice ship with plenty to do for the most part. Pool had a lot of goers and was dirty often. People with scratches and bloody legs in the hot tub.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice. Not many English channels outside of Bloomberg. Nice heat and a/c. Bathroom extremely small, but it is a boat.

Ports of call

La Goulette (Tunis & Carthage), Tunisia

5 out of 5
La Goulette is nice. Better to go into the town like Medina. We got a cab there and back for less then the boat excursion would be. Medina has nice shops and many beggars, but it was fun. Not enough time here.

Ibiza, Balearic Islands

3 out of 5
Lame. We got the in the middle of the night and left in afternoon. Nothing to see during the day outside of a castle on the hill. NOTHING.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

Good views. Pretty town. Not much to see or do. Nice is nearby but is a joke. Should have stayed at the port for this one. Cab drivers will rip you off!
Don't Miss: Port

Catania, Sicily

5 out of 5
Trip to Taormina was great. Ampitheater is cool and the views are the best in Sicily. They have many shops on the way up and down also. Another great place where we did not get nearly enough time.
Don't Miss: Taormina

Valencia, Spain

5 out of 5
Beautiful place!! Nice taxi fair to train station. Went to the beach and back to the boat. The atmosphere was amazing and architecture is awesome. Need more than a day there.
Don't Miss: Beach

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
Fun. Nice restaurants near the tower. The tower is a MUST and there are nice spots along the way.
Don't Miss: Tower of Pisa

Pros: Variety of locations

Cons: Surcharge every day

Recommends MSC Sinfonia? No.
